Caprice pulls out of The Jump after coming down with ‘mystery illness’ while filming

MODEL Caprice Bourret has quit The Jump after being struck down with a mystery illness while filming the show.

The 45-year-old star wasn't able to take part on last night's show after getting the bug, but now it has been revealed she won't ever be returning.

A representative for Caprice confirmed her withdrawal from the show and told the RadioTimes.com: "Caprice has actually withdrawn from the competition completely due to illness."

It has not been confirmed what the star has come down with, but her time on the show has been far from plain sailing.

The American model was missing on Sunday evening’s show and host Davina McCall announced the news that she would not be taking part.

Davina said: “As you can see, Caprice is not her tonight because she’s not very well. So please get well soon Caprice, we’re all thinking of you.”

Earlier this month she fractured her ribs during training - flying off a ski jump and hitting herself in the chest with her hard skis as she fell into the giant inflatable blanket underneath.

She revealed: "You are training eight hours a day so I've been tired and had bad falls, aches and pains and bruises.

"I hurt my head and fractured my ribs when I was practising the ski jump. As I hit the airbag, my skis bashed against me."

The star has become the third person who has been forced to quit the winter sports show - with Vogue Williams pulling out before the show even started after dislocating her knee and Sir Bradley Wiggins broke his ankle.

The Channel 4 show has been plagued with stars coming down with injuries since it first aired on TV.

In a bid to reduce the amount of injured stars, it was agreed that the majority of the programme, which is filmed in Austria, would be pre-recorded this series.

However, that hasn't stopped several of the stars sustaining injury - with Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews suffering a nasty fall and dislocating his shoulder during practice.

In The Sun Online’s exclusive video, Spencer, 27, was seen rocketing down the piste during rehearsals for the show when he lost his balance and fell.

He was heard crying out as he smashed into a fence, and medics rushed over to help.

The reality regular told the emergency workers that he had dislocated his shoulder in the accident.
