From Coleen Rooney’s Horrid Henrys to Geri Horner’s Queen of Hearts, celebrities dress their kids in adorable costumes for World Book Day

COLEEN Rooney, Geri Horner and Amanda Lamb are among some of the celebrities dressing their children up for World Book Day today.

Droves of famous folk have taken to social media to share adorable pictures of their little ones dressed as their favourite characters - and they’ve certainly been getting creative.

Coleen and Wayne Rooney both posted pictures of their eldest sons Kai, 7, and Klay, 3, wearing ginger wigs and troublesome faces as they were transformed into Horrid Henry.

 

Former Spice Girl Geri Horner added the last finishing touches in the form of some red lipstick for 10-year-old Bluebell’s Queen of Hearts costume while presenter Amanda Lamb’s daughters Willow Rose, eight, and Lottie, three, beamed as they were dressed as Poppy from Trolls and Shifty McGifty.

 

 

Reality star Nicola McLean’s boys Rocky, 10 and Striker, five, looked the part dressed as Superman alias Clark Kent and Odlaw from Where’s Wally while telly couple Rochelle and Marvin Humes’ little girl Alaia-Mai, three, looked adorable as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz as she tried to click her heels.

Ferne Cotton’s three-year-old son Rex didn’t care much for World Book Day but he did celebrate it in his own way. The presenter posted: “World book day is like ever other day for Rex. He wears his squid hat. The only fancy dress he'll tolerate”

And comedian Joe Heenan strayed away from the wholesome side of literature, hilariously dressing his little boy up as terrifying anti-hero Begbie from Trainspotting, writing: “He has to go to school dressed as a character from Scottish literature.
So he's Begbie.”

 

 

Meanwhile this mum decided to take a more literal interpretation to the day and dress her lad up as the ARGOS catalogue.
