Lauren Goodger reveals she’s not wearing heavy make-up again after jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrisson says he prefers her to go au natural
The reality star is undergoing an intensive skincare programme to correct imperfections
LAUREN Goodger will undergo another image overhaul and turn her back on heavy makeup, admitting that her friends and boyfriend Joey Morrison “prefer” her that way.
The 30-year-old is currently being treated by Apprentice winner Dr. Leah Totton to reverse years of sun damage, acne scarring and thread veins so she can ditch her heavy makeup and look more natural.
She told : “For years, friends and boyfriends have said to me, you look so much better without makeup. They actually prefer me more natural, and now I'm embracing that.
As she embarks on Dr. Leah’s 12-week Bare-Faced By Summer programme at her Essex clinic, the Towie star revealed just how her skin has suffered over the years.
She said: “I have congestion scars from picking spots when I was younger, red blemishes, pigmentation and broken veins that I want to get rid of.
“I used to go [to the tanning salon] religiously every few days if I was going away or if I had a shoot. I've been doing it since I was 14 so that's 16 years, it's a long time.
“I want to be able to go out without much makeup on – just be who I am and be confident with it. I think it's much more attractive.”

Lauren also admitted that the “scrutiny” of being on the reality TV cameras has made her more conscious about her skin and desperate to change it.
She explained: “When you're being scrutinised under a camera, you notice things and you think, I want to better it and improve it.
“The camera can be quite harsh to the eye.”
Over the past few months, Lauren has stopped having lip fillers, shed the hair extensions and embraced a healthier lifestyle – which she feels makes her look younger than before.
She revealed: “I feel I look a lot younger now. I look back on photos sometimes and I look nothing like some of the pictures I see, and I think, wow, I look more fresh-faced. Now it's about enhancing what I have."
Lauren added: “You can hide skin under makeup but it will always come through and I don't want to constantly live in makeup when I don't have to. I want to be able to put a bit of concealer here and there and a bit of powder, and that's all that's really need.”
