However, the Welsh stars issued a statement at around 6.45pm to let fans know they won't be able to make their performance.

They wrote: "We regret to inform you that tonight’s show is cancelled due to artist illness .

"Refunds are available from point of purchase.

"Apologies to all the fans who have travelled to the show today and for any inconvenience caused."

The band's fans have been left devastated by the last minute news.

Catfish and the Bottlemen announce concert at Tottenham Stadium

The band recently revealed they will headline several stadium shows next summer.

Their first stop will take them to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on August 1, 2025.

And two days later the band will play Tottenham’s glittering arena in north London ahead of the new Premier League season.

However, some fans could not resist taking a cheeky dig at Spurs.

The club’s last win came in the 2008 Carabao Cup when they beat rivals Chelsea 2-1.

SPUR OF MOMENT

They finished second in the 2016/17 Premier League season, and blew the chance to close down Leicester the year before that.

In 2019 Spurs were beaten by Liverpool in the Champions League final.

And their last opportunity to win a trophy came in the 2021 Carabao Cup final, with Daniel Levy sacking Jose Mourinho just days before the defeat to Man City.

But with Catfish and the Bottlemen coming to town, rival supporters found themselves tickled by the band’s name.
