The director has been tight-lipped about the plot of his successor to Glass Onion, but Rian Johnson did tease that it will be Benoit's "most dangerous case yet".
In a mysterious tweet he added: "I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is.
"There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.
"We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going."
The first two films in the series proved to be smash hits on Netflix, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the third installment, which is expected to air in 2025.
The full cast has not been revealed yet, but so far we do know it is set to include A-list actors such as Mila Kunis, Glenn Close, Josh O’Connor, Kerry Washington, and Jeremy Renner.
