Ed Sheeran wants to start a family by the time he’s 30 after finding love with childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn
ED Sheeran has revealed he wants to start a family by the time he's 30, as his romance with childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn continues to heat up.
The singer, 26, met Cherry at high school, and despite waiting years to strike up a relationship, they're totally smitten now.
Now, speaking to OK! magazine, Ed has revealed he hopes to have the "wheels in motion" on starting a family by the time he's 30.
He said: "I think the wheels should be in motion by the time I'm 30. But it's not really up to me.
"It's a two-way street. It has to be up to the partner as well."
And asked about claims he'd flown home early to have Sunday lunch with Cherry's parents, Ed added: "Yes, and it was really nice.
"I haven't been where I live since Christmas. So I had a day off in Germany but I thought it was more important to go home and see my parents and have lunch at hers."

It's clear things are getting serious between the pair as he has hinted he might like to tie the knot with the hockey player in the future.
When asked if his relationship with Cherry has the potential to be a "marriage thing" previously, the 25-year-old said: "I'm pretty...yeah I feel pretty good about it."
Ed also confessed he'd "love" to start a family with his old school pal.
During an appearance on Australian radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Ed said: "Yeah, potentially. I would like some kids."
And although Ed and Cherry don't have any sprogs just yet, they are living together - and have pet cats to parent.
Ed also previously gushed about being "ready" for fatherhood.
He said when asked if he was excited to become a dad in the future: "Massively, yeah. I wanted to be a dad, like, last year.
"I'm ready, let's go - tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around."
It’s believed that the loved-up couple have been in a relationship since 2015.
At first, they kept their dating life under wraps.
But the couple were pictured kissing for the first time back in July when his close friend Taylor Swift threw them a party to celebrate their one-year anniversary.
Taylor also held the bash to celebrate her best friend Abigail’s engagement to her boyfriend Matt and as they all posed together, Ed and Cherry could be seen kissing in the background.
The pair have also been spotted at a number of different events, including when they went to a Mets game together in 2015.
