Towie’s Pete Wicks refuses to confirm whether he’s split for good from Megan McKenna and says ‘it’s complicated’
The star appeared on Radio One today with Bobby Norris after Megan pulled out last minute amid break-up rumours
PETE Wicks has remained tight-lipped about whether or not he has officially split from on-off girlfriend Megan McKenna – but dubbed the situation a “nightmare” as he tries to get his romance back on track.
The Essex Pirate was meant to be making an appearance with Megan on Radio One today for Innuendo Bingo.
However, after The Sun revealed she was on the outs with her beau, she cancelled last minute, leaving co-star Bobby Norris to step in her place.
When quizzed by Scott Mills about what was going on between the two, Pete refused to comment about where he currently stood after The Sun revealed they are on the outs.
Pete told the DJ: “There’s always a bit of drama ain’t there? Always a bit of drama.”
When he wouldn’t comment further, Scott started probing Bobby instead, but the self-confessed Essex Agony Uncle admitted: “Even I can’t keep up!”
Pete then opened up a bit more, and added: “You’ll have to wait and see. It’s complicated – we’re up and down like a yo-yo ain’t we?
“It just a bit of a nightmare.”

Scott then asked what it’s like to have his relationship play out for the TV screens, and he revealed, that despite what’s often thought, he and Megan try and play DOWN their firey relationship to keep certain things private.
He said: “We try and amp it down – I think being on the show it just naturally ramps it all up, so it’s all just a bit of a nightmare.”
Eventually asked outright about whether or not he was single, Pete said: “You’ll have to wait and see, got to keep you guessing boys!”
However, fans of the loved Towie couple were given a glimmer of hope for their survival, after Pete stumbled over a question about the last time they spoke to each other.
Pete eventually admitted: “Errr…recently!”
But he said: "It’s not like a big bust up or an awkward thing. I’d just rather Bobby be here!”
The team then joked that Bobby could be the person tearing him and Megan apart and that’s why he appeared in her place.
Bobby then joined in and added: “Yeah maybe… There’s an exclusive for you Radio one – this is our first date!”
