THEIR fifth studio album comes out on Friday and in a few weeks they head off on a nationwide tour.
But indie rockers Blossoms have taken time out of rehearsals to appear in upcoming Netflix film CC: Emily.
The band, made up of Tom Ogden, Joe Donovan, Josh Dewhurst, Charlie Salt and Myles Kellock, were spotted on location in Manchester.
Insiders tell me Blossoms play themselves in the movie, where they perform on stage at a prom party, with Myles wearing a rosette to mark the occasion.
A source said: “The film is about a lovesick musician who is desperate to find his dream girl.
“They wanted to have a proper British band in the movie so called on Blossoms to perform. The band are from Stockport, which is only seven miles down the road, so it made sense to have them in the film, which is set in Manchester.

“They filmed scenes where they were performing at a prom party, with Spike Fearn playing the leading role alongside Angourie Rice, who plays Emily.”
CC: Emily is being made by the teams behind the Bridget Jones films and Shaun Of The Dead.
And it will have the classic ingredients of some of the great British rom-coms.
Getting Blossoms on board is a genius move.

The group formed in 2013 and have three No1 albums to their name, with their fifth record Gary just days away.
They are going on a 21-date tour, which kicks off in Newcastle on October 17, and I told last month how they had also been booked to warm up some of the crowds on Oasis’ comeback tour next summer.
Earlier this year they supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at an amazing show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
A source told me: “It will be announced in due course but Blossoms have agreed to support Oasis at their Heaton Park shows. Naturally they jumped at the chance.
“It’s a full-circle moment for them as Tom and Joe’s first ever gig was at Oasis at Heaton Park.”
Now that’s a neat tie-up that sounds right out of a movie.
Pool plan a bit dippy, Liam
I CHUCKLED when Noel Gallagher was banned from driving last year – despite actually never learning to drive.
Now his brother Liam is building a swimming pool at his £4million London home, but claims he doesn’t know how to swim.
The Oasis star made the confession on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his mum Peggy and his rocker son Gene.
Liam was seen telling his mum: “You are the only one out of us lot that can swim. Me, Noel and Paul can’t swim.”
When Gene called him out, saying, “You can swim. I’ve seen you. It’s just that you can’t get your head up. You just go underwater”, Liam replied: “I can do half a width.
“I wish I could swim. I struggle when it goes deeper and that. That’s when I start flapping around like some mad salmon, like a crazy salmon.”
Having a pool in your back garden will help with that, Liam.
Or just be like me and float around like a chunk of ham on a lilo with a can of lager in hand.
That chain's smoking, Leigh-Anne
LEIGH-ANNE Pinnock is used to quick outfit changes thanks to her 11 years on stage with Little Mix.
And she served up three new looks with ease as she hit the front rows at London Fashion Week.
At Richard Quinn’s show she stood out in a sheer, chainmail jumpsuit, which she wore with an oversized white collar.
She was also spotted in a denim halter neck and funky red trousers at Masha Popova’s catwalk show, before wearing a cosy quadruple denim outfit for Ahluwalia’s Spring/Summer 25 event.
More stars are expected to rock up to fashion week today, with Burberry’s show at 4pm.
Ninety minutes before that, FKA Twigs is showing off her new collaboration with On Running.
The event is being billed as a live performance called The Body Is Art – and knowing how wacky Twigs is, I think we’re in for a treat.
Perrie on a roll
PERRIE EDWARDS will release her third solo single in three weeks, I can reveal.
You Go Your Way follows her first two releases, Forget About Us and Tears, and is out on October 4.
A source said: “Perrie is putting the finishing touches to her debut album but the next track is ready to go. The video has been shot and she is so pleased with it.”
Perrie, who is engaged to football ace Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain, has kept a low profile of late, letting her ex-Little Mix bandmate Jade Thirlwall shine.
Jade’s brilliant debut single, Angel Of My Dreams, is still performing well in the charts two months after it release.
Naomi Ramps it up
NAOMI Campbell is a woman in love – and she wants us all to know it.
I revealed last month that the supermodel had fallen head-over-heels for German DJ and music producer Rampa.
And since they got together, Naomi has been living her best life following the DJ, whose real name is Gregor Sutterlin, across Europe as he plays his sets.
The latest snapshot into their whirlwind romance came with Naomi going live on Instagram to show her walking into the crowd of revellers at one of his shows before joining him behind the decks.
She then hit the Azerbaijan Grand Prix yesterday.
This fun-loving, silly side of Naomi is not something we see that often – but I am totally here for it.
Take a swipe at Jedward
COPPING off with one of Jedward must be on someone’s bucket list.
And if you’re keen on the Irish twins, also known as John and Edward Grimes, then you’ll be pleased to know one of my pals spotted John’s profile on dating app Hinge over the weekend.
John, who appeared on The X Factor with Edward in 2009 and is at every celebrity party I go to, describes himself as a music producer living in London.
As well as topless selfies on his profile, John has snaps of his dogs and a shot with Edward.
He writes that he is open to short and long relationships and would prefer a woman who “also likes nature and animals”.
The last time I saw John he was dancing like a loon with Edward, naturally, at Katy Perry’s 143 album listening party last week.
If you’re brave enough to swipe right and get a date, you’d be in for a laugh.
But it might take a while to shake off his brother.
Chart battles
THE WEEKND’s Dancing In The Flames is this week’s highest new entry in the singles chart, coming in at No9.
And in the least surprising news you’ll read today, Sabrina Carpenter is on course to hold on to the top spot for a fourth week with her runaway track Taste.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With A Smile moves up to No5, while Tate McRae is just shy of breaking into the Top Ten with It’s Ok, I’m Ok.

Well in, Frankie
ALL credit to Frankie Bridge for calling out awards ceremony bulls**tters.
She told Spencer Matthews’ Big Fish podcast about winners who, “Spout this speech about loving everyone”, adding, “I’m like, ‘You’re lying. Everyone in here hates you’.”
Bravo!
