DAVID Beckham made a surprise visit to a pie and mash shop - and posed for a snap with the staff.
The 49-year-old headed to Tony's Pie and Mash in Waltham Abbey, Essex for a bite to eat with Sandra, 75, and his son Romeo, 22.
David shared a selection of snaps from their day out on Instagram.
The trio posed for a picture together while eating their delicious meals.
David, who dubbed the eatery "the best", captioned the post: "Lunch with mum," and a white love heart.
The football legend also smiled for a picture with the staff outside the restaurant.

The star's lunch out comes after his recent Emmy win.
The Beckham documentary on Netflix won the gong for the outstanding documentary series at the prestigious awards.

Days later David took to his page to share a snap of him holding the award with a huge smile on his face.
"Safely back in Office 💛 Still can't believe we won an EMMY," he said.
The four-part series was a huge hit when it hit the streaming service last year.
Beckham followed the highs and lows of the footballer's career from the very start.
Fans rushed to social media to share their congratulations over the win.
