Lauren Goodger slams Joey Morrison Instagram girl saying he wouldn’t fancy her even with ‘jail goggles on’
FURIOUS Lauren Goodger has hit back following her Instagram faux pas, which saw her accidentally like a photo of a pretty girl while logged into her jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison's account.
Hairdresser Karis Butler recently received a notification from 'Joey' at 4.40am saying he had liked a picture of her, but given that he is inside, she was left presuming it was actually Lauren snooping.
Now, the brunette from Manchester has publicly spoken out and accused Lauren of spying on her, telling new! magazine: "I have no idea why, out of all the girls who followed him, she went through my pictures and liked one at 4.40am. It's kind of a strange time."
And Lauren is not happy.
Having her say in a now-deleted Instagram rant, Lauren blasted: "Joey gets the magazines inside every week and got today and rang me laughing about the story tbh.
"He even said they have used really bad pics of me and used 'stunning' pics of this girl and laughed.
"So sad they would entertain such a pathetic story about a like of a pic and even Joey said to me, if he was home after 7 and a half years inside, hes 'jail goggles' wouldn't even class the girl as average.
"*He's words BTW**[sic]."
Lauren continued: "So sad and hungry for limelight over a like on a picture...now it's me talking.
"Well done girl, you got some media attention you be asking for appearance fees next and a Big Brother deal...so sad."
Lauren added several 'crying with laughter' emojis into her post.
Fans were quick to respond to Lauren, before she reiterated just how happy she is in her relationship with Joey.
She replied: "I will still continue to be nice and rise above it! #strongwomen."
On Wednesday, Lauren confirmed she was no longer a columnist for new!, having written a weekly blog for the magazine for the past two years.
Announcing the news, new! said: "As of this week, we're sad to say Lauren Goodger is no longer a new! columnist.
"The Towie star has been with us for two years, so we're sorry to be parting ways.
"We hope she finds the happiness and stability she's looking for and we wish her well in the future."
Addressing her own fans, Lauren insisted: "I am very happy and stable in my life, I have all I want and more other than @joeymorrison not being home.
"I've had a great time working with New Mag and gave them a lot in the time I wrote for them but I now feel it's time to spread my wings and embark on new ventures."
Last week, Joey returned to Instagram after mysteriously vanishing for a short spell.
Joey has been behind bars since 2010, after he was convicted of violent drugs related charges.
