LADY GAGA has a huge surprise for fans — a special album to tie in with her new blockbuster film Joker: Folie à Deux.
It has been four years since she brought out sixth album Chromatica, which became her fourth UK No1.
But before she releases the lead single from her seventh record next month, the Poker Face superstar has other plans.
Last night Gaga confirmed that her new album Harlequin will be out this Friday. It serves as a companion album to tie in to her upcoming film.
Gaga plays the role of Harley Quinn in the movie blockbuster, alongside Joaquin Phoenix who takes on the role of Batman’s Joker nemesis.
As well as starring in the film, Gaga has written and produced 13 songs which will run alongside the movie, which comes out a week on Friday.

Track titles, which include That’s Life, Gonna Build A Mountain and Oh, When The Saints, hint at a gloomy record to tie in with her big-screen character.
A source said: “She has been secretly working on both her seventh album and her Joker album for over a year.
“Everything has been on a need-to-know basis so not even everyone in her team knew what was coming. Gaga wanted to do something big for Joker and was inspired by Prince's 1989 Batman album.
“She has secretly filmed a promotional film for the project too, which happened when she was in Paris for the Olympics this summer.”

Gaga’s move mirrors that of her music idol, Prince. He dropped his surprise album, Batman, in 1989 to coincide with the superhero film that came out in the same year.
His tracks featured in the movie which starred Michael Keaton as the Caped Crusader.
At the premiere of her Chromatica Tour film in May, Gaga teased the album and said: “I have been working on a lot of different projects that bridge music and acting and all different forms of art.”
Gaga will tonight be in London for the Joker premiere at Leicester Square.
She flew into the UK at the start of the week and is currently enjoying the high life in one of the most lavish hotel suites the city has to offer.
With new tracks landing in two days’ time she really has been using her Poker Face.
