George Michael’s lover Fadi Fawaz has ‘SNUBBED’ the superstar’s family since his tragic death on Christmas Day and ‘has shown no respect,’ singer’s cousin claims
GEORGE Michael’s lover Fadi Fawaz has snubbed the superstar’s family since his tragic death on Christmas Day, they revealed.
The 43-year-old, who found George, 53, in bed, has made no attempt to get in touch with the singer’s dad and sisters, his cousin Andros Georgiou said.
And Andros, 54, believes the hairdresser — who he says was paid more than £10,000 a month to be by George’s side — will not be in his will.
He said: “Fadi disappeared after George’s death.
"He was never a part of the family because he and George just had an arrangement.
“Fadi had a retainer of more than £10,000 a month, lived in his house and was supposed to be there when he wanted company, though last year he wasn’t so available.
“It was just business, really. But he was still the last person to see George alive, and if he had any respect for the family he would have got in touch.
“There are still real questions he needs to answer.
“Why did he sleep in his car on Christmas Eve?
"When did he go in the house?
"Why did he wait so long to call 999 when his lover was upstairs dying?
“Instead of explaining to George’s family, he is sitting in his £5million house in Regent’s Park.
“You would have thought he might have decided, ‘Out of respect, I’ll go somewhere else.’ But he is still living there. Why?
“He isn’t going to inherit it, not in a million years.
“I’m pretty sure he won’t see any of George’s money. After all, he was going to be out of his life.
He would have been gone by now if Yog was still alive.
"And he has done nothing but promote himself since he died.”

Andros spoke days after an inquest ruled the Careless Whisper singer died of natural causes – but did not reveal if drink or drugs were in his body.
Coroner Darren Salter said he died from heart and liver problems. But his short statement made no mention of the long-awaited results of a second toxicology test, after the first returned an “inconclusive” verdict.
And Andros — the chart-topper’s closest childhood friend — said results were withheld after his family begged the coroner to keep them private.
He went on: “George’s dad has read the results, but they are still too difficult for him to talk about. He is very upset, and just wants to lay his son to rest.
“No parent should bury their child and he is going to find that unimaginably hard to get over. The entire family have been through the worst two-and-a-half months you can imagine. They have been living a nightmare every day.
“Now the cause of death has been determined, they don’t want the toxicology report made public and the coroner has listened to their wishes.
“The problem is that the delay has caused a real frenzy, and lots of conspiracy theories, especially after Fadi’s call to the emergency services leaked.
“I think it would be better to end the mystery around George’s death and let him rest in peace. I wanted to know the exact time of death as that would prove exactly how long Fadi waited after George died to call for help. But I have to respect the family’s wishes. They feel the results are nobody else’s business.”
Andros — who was not biologically related to George but was called his “cousin” as they were so close — continued: “The news he died of natural causes was a relief.
"I knew deep down he wouldn’t commit suicide.
"But I’ve also seen videos of him days before he died, messing around and singing into a broomstick.
"He didn’t look like a sick man whose heart was about to give out.
“My worst fear was he felt like he’d had enough, and taken a prescription drugs overdose. That would have been even harder to cope with than this.
“But I still don’t understand why a second report was needed when the problems in his heart and liver could have been picked up in the first report.”
The coroner’s verdict ended months of anguish for George’s dad, Kyriacos Panayiotou, and sisters Melanie and Yioda as they waited to bury him.
But former music producer Andros told how the family have still not been able to say their goodbyes, because the coroner has not let them view his body.
He said: “I made a request this week. I wanted to say my final goodbye and put a letter I’ve written for him into the casket.
“But the coroner told me - and his family - that he had been through so much examination that viewings were not being allowed.
“He said Yog would not look like we would remember him.
"That was difficult to hear, and still is. Every time I think about it I have images that aren’t nice.
“And I think, ‘God, he didn’t deserve this. He was such a good person’. But we have to live with that.
“I’m lucky I have so many good images of him in my memory.
"Like him cuddling my sons - his godsons – James and Harry and laughing. That is how I will remember him.
“George always said the only problem with being gay was he wouldn’t ever have children. He loved James and Harry and his other godkids like his own.
“When his estate is finally divided, the majority of the money will go to charities he supported, but some will be left to each of them and to his sisters. All his future earnings will go straight to the George Michael Foundation. That’s his legacy.
“No one ever knew how much he gave to charity, but he gave millions away because he didn’t need it. He had everything money could buy.”
George’s funeral could take place as soon as Monday at a church in Highgate, North London. The star, who will be dressed in his favourite suit and shirt from his final tour, will then be buried next to his beloved mum Lesley in Highgate Cemetery.
That was George’s wish — although Andros revealed how that ruled out the traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony his family had been hoping for.
He explained: “For that to happen, he needed to be buried in a Greek Orthodox cemetery, and it was very clear in his wishes that he wanted to be with his mother.
“She - and his first love Anselmo Feleppa - were the real loves of his life.
“His family were disappointed, but they are relieved they can finally lay him to rest. I don’t believe you can really grieve until you have buried someone. I believe everything is ready for the funeral, but it is now about security.
“There are already fans lining up outside Highgate Cemetery, and much as he loved his fans, his family don’t want his funeral to turn into a circus.
“I would ask those fans to pay their respects by allowing them to bury him in peace.”
Track barred
GEORGE Michael’s final songs will not be released posthumously, cousin Andros Georgiou has revealed.
The star, 53, was working on material for a new album when he died. Ex-music producer Andros told how George played him a “brilliant” track which he intended to be his next single.
But he said its release will be blocked as it was not finished.
Andros told The Sun on Sunday: “I was lucky enough to hear parts of his new single, which was brilliant — upbeat and full of life. I would say it was 80 per cent complete. But the song won’t ever be released, and nor should it.
“George had restrictions preventing any release without his approval. He wouldn’t have wanted music released that wasn’t ready, even if it was close.”
Pal Kate's funeral jet dash
EXCLUSIVE by STEPHEN MOYES
KATE Moss was forced to pull out of boarding a flight at the last minute — after she was told her pal George Michael’s funeral would be held on Monday, sources say.
The supermodel, 43, took the shock call while sipping champagne in a first-class departure lounge at Heathrow on Friday.
She then dashed to BA staff and told them she could not get on the plane to New Delhi as she had just found out the date of the singer’s funeral.
An airport source told The Sun on Sunday: “Kate was upset and in something of a panic.
“She was polite at all times but explained there was no way she could fly out of the country because she’d miss the funeral.”
Kate, who was with daughter Lila Grace and a male pal, was overheard saying the service was due to take place today but it is understood she meant tomorrow.
The source added: “It was very awkward because Kate was checked in and about to board.
“Her bags were in the hold of the jet, so it was quite an effort to retrieve them so close to take-off.”
Staff obliged as boarding continued, with passengers already on the plane told by the captain that take-off would be delayed by 10 minutes.
No reason was given and the 11.20am scheduled departure eventually left eight minutes late, without Kate and her party.
BA refused to comment on the story, but claimed the flight departed on time despite its website demonstrating it did not.
Days before he was found dead by lover Fadi Fawaz, Kate said neighbour George let her and Lila Grace, 14, use the pool in his North London garden.
Kate, who starred in his video for White Light in 2012, revealed: “When it’s hot I’m like, ‘Oh can Lila come and jump in your pool?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, come over.’ We can climb from garden to garden over the walls with a ladder. We’ve done that a couple of times.”
George, whose death certificate was released last week, is expected to be buried next to mum Lesley, who died in 1997.
