Lydia Bright says the entire cast of The Only Way Is Essex are hoping James Argent will have a fast recovery on his rehab retreat
The reality beauty is leading the cast in wishing the troubled star well
LYDIA Bright has revealed she and the whole cast of The Only Way Is Essex are routing for James ‘Arg’ Argent to make a fast recovery after it was revealed he has checked into rehab.
The 27-year-old reality star has opened up on her heartache regarding Arg, 29, who she dated on and off since Towie launched back in 2010.
Last month it was revealed Arg has flown to Thailand to check into rehab as he tries to beat his demons – and Lydia says she only wants the best for her ex-lover.
“We are all sending him lots of love and hoping that he comes back well and safe,” the reality babe .
“I haven’t seen him for a long time but all of us want him to get better,” she added.
Last month Arg unfollowed Lydia as well as other cast members of Towie on Instagram - reportedly as part of a social media detox as part of his recovery.
It comes as Arg, who previously checked into rehab after being suspended from the show for testing positive for cocaine, missed the final episodes of the last series and didn’t appear in any of the Christmas specials.
He is now spending an extended period at the secret resort in the Far East – with next to no contact with the outside world.
Arg is thought to be undergoing daily meditation and only chowing down on healthy food to give his body a welcome boost.
A source said: “Arg is in Thailand where he is trying to clean up his act. He wants to sort out his head and beat his demons once and for all.
“Being so far away from Essex and the bright lights is hopefully going to help him – acting as a kind of rehabilitation process. He is trying to make himself a better person and is doing some soul-searching."
Fans will hopefully see Arg back in Towie once he is on the mend.
“He wants to come back to the show stronger and is looking forward to doing so at some point in the future. Everyone just wants what is best for him,” the source said.
Meanwhile Lydia is poised to make her return to Towie on Sunday night.
The star returned to filming the BAFTA award winning ITVBe reality show following a stint on Channel 4's snow sports based reality competition The Jump.
The reality beauty was knocked out of the show in week 5 - but returned after Rugby star Gareth Thomas was forced to quit the show due to personal reasons.
