GAVIN Rossdale’s team was chopped into three tonight when Max Vickers, Sarah Morgan and Truly Ford made their way to The Voice quarter finals.
The 51-year-old rocker’s team of six all received rave reviews from the judges so the acts were in for a nail biting wait to find out who was making it through to complete the final 12.
Wannabe indie boy Max Vickers who performed Arctic Monkey’s I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor was the first to go through on the viewers’ vote, with youngest contestant 16-year-old Sarah Morgan quickly following after winning votes with I Will Always Love You.
It was then down to Gavin to decide who out of Keziah Rodell, Craig Carter and Diamond would join them.
After agonising over who to pick and being rushed by host Emma Willis to make a decision, he finally opted for Truly who had wowed the judges with her rendition of Lady Gaga’s A Million Reasons.
However as the trio celebrated, those at home were not happy.
One astounded fan posted: “#TeamGavin #thevoiceuk Really...Truly....no way!”
While others were happy that Max had gone trough but felt the other two places had been wasted, one viewer chipped: “#Max was the right result on #TheVoiceUK but 3 of the strongest singers went home, 2 of the weakest got through #GavinTeam”
Many thought that Keziah and Carter belonged in the quarter finals, with one person tweeting: “@gavinrossdale #TeamGavin what a mistake..Truly instead of Keziah and Carter!
And another added: “#thevoiceuk FFS as if Truly wasn't already full of herself 🙈 & we already have a Florence 💩 Keziah and Carter were far better &more humble”
