Be Here Now stars Oasis are set to play five concerts in the city in July after brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher ended their 15-year feud.

Drug and alcohol rehab facility Providence Project said: “We have spoken to members of the addiction community who have told us they have already stashed drugs in the park. We would warn organisers to be vigilant.”

Security at the shows will be tight, with sniffer dogs and bag searches.

But experts said drug users bragged of planning to smuggle in drugs to the gigs in everything from glow sticks to cuddly toys and Oasis merchandise.

Some even plan to wear fake plaster casts with drugs inside.

Treatment centre chief Paul Spanjar said: “Whether it be the contaminated ecstasy tablet, cocaine-induced heart attack or cannabis-induced psychosis; the reality is whilst drug use feels relatively safe and socially acceptable, it’s still playing dice with death.”

Oasis have also lined up concerts in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, the US, Canada and Mexico.

This week the band ruled out using dynamic pricing in North America after fury from fans as British ticket prices soared amid huge demand.
