Towie’s Pete Wicks finally confirms split from Megan McKenna and admits he wants to do Celebs Go Dating

TOWIE star Pete Wicks has finally confirmed his split from Megan McKenna, The Sun’s Bizarre column can reveal.
The tattooed hunk then admitted he would like to appear on Celebs Go Dating as he looks to embrace his newly single status.
Pete took fellow Towie cast member James Lock as his date to this afternoon's TRIC Awards, avoiding an awkward run-in with ex-girlfriend Megan who was also at the telly bash.
In an exclusive interview, Pete said: “I’m here with James today so you can probably guess my relationship status from that.

“Megan is a good girl but it’s always complicated with her. It’s all about to play out on the show.
“We are both happy at the minute – things are just complicated.
“I’d definitely like to do Celebs Go Dating but there are other TV shows I’m lined up for too.”
Megan, who was also at the event, admitted: “It’s a bit complicated at the moment. I don’t really know what else to say about it.”
Viewers are yet to watch the pair’s split unfold on the reality show but Megan has previously admitted her and Pete are on a break.
The Towie power couple have gone their separate ways after a series of explosive arguments, but have been hiding the details of their split from viewers to keep the show exciting.
Megan attempted to play down their break up during her recent telly appearance and suggested the two were just taking a short time apart.
Pete further confirmed their split by admitting he would protect Megan from getting hurt when he starts to date again.
He said: “I will never disrespect her when I’m with another girl. You’ll have to wait and see the rest on the show.”
James, who’s moved on from ex Danielle Armstrong with Towie newbie Yazmin Oukhellou, insisted him and Pete were enjoying a “man day” at the TRIC Awards.
He said: “We thought we would get rid of the girls today and stick to what we know and love. The love between Pete and I is unconditional."
Pete joked: “We are actually going to come out very soon.”
