After Gemma worrying about a confrontation, both Lydia and Gemma peacefully cleared the air on tonight's episode
GEMMA Collins and Lydia Bright were praised by Towie fans on tonight's show by choosing to put their friendship first following the discovery James 'Arg' Argent had slept with them BOTH on the same day.
Viewers were left hooked as Gemma panicked over running into Lydia following the discovery they had both slept with their ex while they were all away on holiday in Marbella.
At a St Patrick's Day party hosted by Tommy Mallett and Georgia Kousoulou, Gemma was seen looking nervous knowing Lydia was nearby, and compared the moment to "like burying someone under the patio and waiting for the police to arrive".
But when the moment finally came, it turned out she was panicking over nothing.
A calm Lydia gave Gemma a hug as Bobby Norris looked on stunned, before admitting that while she wasn't "fuming" she was "flabbergasted" at the development.
Gemma then admitted that she would've taken her sex session with the surprise playboy "to her grave" to prevent Lydia getting upset and over worries Lydia and Arg wanted to get back together.
Lydia then said: "I could never be angry with you. I wasn't with the boy - and really, you were before me.
She then added: "It's humiliating for us both - it's not our fault.
"Let's just brush it under the carpet and forget about it."
The trio then planned to head to London to find themselves some "fresh blood", and Lydia joked: "Let's not choose the same man again!"
Gemma and Lydia's sweet moment was praised by fans - who came out in force to praise the two for their maturity.
One wrote: "Girls take note..... Oozes class & dignity and I for one have nothing but admiration for her... I'd have gone nuts "
Another added: "If only every girl could handle situations like Lydia, life would be so much easier!!! "
A third agreed and said: "I don't know how Lydia can actually talk to Gemma normally after what happened?! 😷 "
Others were left confused over who Arg has become such a surprise lothario and said: "I don't understand why neither Gemma or Lydia can stay away from arg I mean he's no channing Tatum is he "

Following the episode, Gemma and Lydia both wrote gushing messages to each other online as well.
Lydia tweeted: "Girls stick together, good vibes only @missgemcollins" showing a gif of Gemma looking glam during a magazine shoot.
Gemma responded in kind and said: "Love and respect @LydiaRoseBright [heart emojis] #womensticktogether"
She added on Instagram: ";so happy that me and the very beautiful @lydiabright stuck together women rule boys SUCK"
