FRIENDS of Noel and Liam Gallagher proudly boasted to me that next year’s Oasis reunion shows at Wembley Stadium would be “powered by lager”.

But their eco-friendly rivals, Coldplay, who deliver shows using kinetic energy, are hoping some of their green credentials will rub off on the brothers for their comeback tour.

Insiders told me that because Oasis and Coldplay’s dates at the London venue follow each other next year, there has been some talk of possibly sharing kit and haulage vehicles in a bid to keep costs down — and lessen the impact on the environment.

A source said: “Oasis will play Wembley first in July and August with five shows at the stadium. Chris Martin and co then ship in for their ten-date residency at the end of August and into September, before Noel and Liam return three weeks later.

“Coldplay have chosen to keep their shows mainly at Wembley because it’s better for the environment.

“And when Oasis start hauling their stuff in at the end of July, it’s been mooted they could leave some stuff behind which could be shared by Coldplay’s teams.

‘Olive branch’

“Obviously their shows are completely different but kit is kit — and it is an idea which has been bandied around.

“Coldplay always go out of their way to minimise the impact their shows have on the environment.

“And after their old rivalry with Oasis, some people think this could be a very eco-friendly olive branch.

“Plus it keeps the huge costs down - which would be a win for everyone.”

'The UK's getting mugged off' say fuming Oasis fans as they demand REFUNDS after US tour goes on sale

Noel and Liam sold out all of their seven shows at Wembley in minutes.

But Coldplay went three better — with the tickets for all ten of their Wembley dates snapped up too.

Given the brothers and Coldplay’s history of good-natured clashes, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a bit of banter flying around about Coldplay putting on more shows.

And to trump that, their tenth studio album, Moon Music, has gone straight to No1 in the charts — and secured them the biggest opening week for a UK act this year.

May the bragging commence.

Loreen is med for it

LOREEN is one of the most chilled pop stars in the game – and now I’ve found out why.

The Swede, who won Eurovision for a second time with Tattoo last year, has revealed she meditates for two hours each morning and combines them with hardcore workouts.

She was a few minutes late for our Zoom catch-up this week and admitted it was a lengthy session which had put her timekeeping off.

Loreen explained: “It’s just so good because if you’re just sitting and meditating, it takes a while for your mind to stop being all over the place.

“But when you’re exercising it’s almost like a mind can’t do the things it usually does because the body is struggling. So that’s my trick. I do recommend that.”

When she’s not in the gym, she has been in the studio in London, where she has been living like a nomad between hotels.

She released her latest single Warning Signs yesterday, which is well worth a spin.

Other new tracks out for the weekend include Mabel’s Stupid Dumb with TY Dolla $ign, Camila Cabello’s reworking of Move by Adam Port and Stryv, Lo Lauren’s Before The Kiss and Barny Fletcher’s Call Me By Your Name.

SIR MICK JAGGER shows he’s got ironing to a tee as promotes his new clothing range.

The Rolling Stones rocker has brought out a new range of T-shirts, inspired by a top he wore in a photo taken by music snapper Jim Marshall in 1972.

Mick revealed his fun side on a shoot for the Palace Laundry £125 tee and wore it while pressing some bedding.

That’s one way to blow off some steam when he’s not on the road with Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.

RITA ORA could finally be about to crack America.

The Anywhere hitmaker is set to support Kylie Minogue on the US leg of her Tension Tour next year.

It is Kylie’s biggest US tour to date – including two nights at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.

Rita recently vowed to bring the focus back to music with her fourth album slated for release within the next 12 months.

It’s taken Kylie more than two decades to break the States so don’t write Rita off just yet.

Amanda: I need MoT

AS corks popped around her, Amanda Holden finished her mammoth 250-mile charity bike ride in London’s Leicester Square yesterday.

I have kept in touch with the radio and TV host throughout her trek from Cornwall to London to raise cash for Global’s Make Some Noise, which supports small charities across the country.

And as we caught up yesterday after she arrived back – it turns out that poor old Amanda still had to crack on like normal.

“Ironically, Chris, my husband, has hurt his back, so I’m waiting on him hand and foot,” Amanda told me after finishing a celebratory glass of champagne.

“I am picking up my daughter from school and then we are going to get a takeaway.

“Oh, and I will be having red wine, a bath and a massage.”

After overcoming hills, getting absolutely drenched and blowing a tyre – Amanda has now raised an amazing £370,000 for Make Some Noise.

And that number is still rising, so if you have any spare cash to donate to Amanda’s worthy cause, visit heart.co.uk to get involved.

Chatting to me, the presenter said she was now preparing for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent, which begins filming next week.

“I’m going to have an MOT,” Amanda laughed.

“We start filming in Blackpool next week, so I’m having a manicure, a pedicure, a spray tan, and then I’ll be off again next week.”

Good on you, Amanda. I’d be sleeping for a week.

Scout-ing for the cameras

THE cameras are usually always trained on Scout Willis’ film star parents Bruce and Demi Moore.

But she made sure all eyes were on her as she joined The Hollywood Reporter And iHeartRadio’s Creators A-List party in West Hollywood.

Scout has grown even closer to Bruce since he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia last year.

Her sister Tallulah spoke about the pair spending time with him last month, saying: “Our visits have so much love and I feel that. That overarches anything for me.”

Elt: Music saved me

HIS rollercoaster life – and battle with drink and drugs – is well documented.

And Sir Elton John has confessed “music kept me alive” as he spoke at the screening of a new Disney+ documentary about his life.

Never Too Late is a searingly raw look back at his five-decade career and how he found himself again.

Speaking to fans at the Royal Festival Hall in London, Elton said: “This is a documentary about what happens when you are incredibly successful in a five-year period to become the biggest rock star in the world at that time and having nothing to back it up.

“In the end music kept me alive. It nearly killed me but it kept me alive through the darkest periods.”

Never Too Late goes onto Disney+ on December 13.

Matty is so bratty

CHARLI XCX has released a remix edition of her hit sixth album Brat.

Out yesterday, Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat features a host of famous pals.

These include rockers THE 1975, fronted by Matty Healy, who collaborated on the track I Might Say Something Stupid.

Of working with Matty, Charli said: “I really wanted him to do the song. He’s like my brother now, you know?”

“And I hope he wouldn’t mind me saying this but I have an endless amount of respect for him as a songwriter and him as a person. But I sometimes want to strangle him.”

Don’t worry Charli, there are plenty of friends, family and colleagues that spark a similar feeling in me at times.
