Geordie Shore’s Marty McKenna launches into foul-mouthed rant at Barclays bank forcing them to CLOSE his account over ‘abusive’ tweets
The reality star lost his cool online and fired a stream of angry tweets at his bank
GEORDIE Shore star Marty McKenna launched into a foul-mouthed rant at Barclays bank on Twitter, forcing them to close his account over the "abusive" tweets.
The controversial reality star fired off a stream of angry messages online, hitting out at his bank after being left unable to withdraw money from a branch.
Marty was sent a new card for his account, but it apparently didn't work when he went inside, sparking a huge row.
He tweeted: "@BarclaysUKHelp u are a f***ing divy and the little mug who works in the branch in number needs f***ing digged!
Before adding: "@BarclaysUKHelp not letting me access my own money that I work for the f***ing idiots send me out a new card ya wronguns."
A customer services rep for Barclays soon came back, attempting to resolve the issue, and tweeted: "Hi Marty, this certainly isn’t how I want you to feel and I’d love to help. Could you please DM me with more information? Nic."
But it sparked another outburst from Marty who wrote: "F***k off," and added: "@Barclays just rang me saying they're closing my account for the abusive tweets ... Sorry not my fault ya f***ing useless."
Barclays then replied: "We don’t believe you should ever speak to anyone in an abusive way; whether it’s your bank, neighbour or your ex on the beach."
To which Marty wrote: "Oooo sly digs .. At least I can have an ex on the beach ya desk sitter #virgin."
The Sun Online has contacted Marty's reps for comment.
Marty and Chloe dated on and off for years before breaking up for good last year.
Their fiery relationship on screen in Geordie Shore is sure to make the series one of the best yet, with the loud-mouthed pair likely to spark fireworks.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Marty signed up at the start of the year, a while before Chloe signed on the dotted line.
“He’s mainly known for being on Geordie Shore so it’ll be great for people to see him doing something else.
“Marty is brilliant on screen and won’t let Chloe rule the villa – he’ll put her in his place if he needs to.”
Earlier this month The Sun confirmed 21-year-old Chloe would be heading to the sun drenched villa.
A source said: “Chloe is great TV and is certain to stir things up on the show.
“She doesn't hold hold back at all and after a few drinks she will definitely tell people what she thinks of them.”
Following Marty and Chloe’s split, he branded her an attention seeker after she was pictured out on a date with Towie’s Jon Clark.
When The Sun Online approached MTV for comment they declined.
