AN ICONIC rock band have reunited for a new tour a whopping 30 years after their first album.
The Finnish hitmakers, who are six times platinum certified, have revealed a slew of European dates for their Weirdo gigs in 2025.
It comes as The Rasmus – best-known for hit In The Shadows – release new single, Rest In Pieces, this week.
The Helsinki-based group formed in 1994 with lead singer Lauri Ylönen.
The band – who also include members Eero Heinonen, Aki Hakala and Emilia Suhonen – will play a handful of UK dates in 2025.
The UK leg begins in Glasgow on November 30 at SWG3 Galvanizers.
They will head to Manchester’s O2 Ritz on December, followed by a gig at Cardiff’s Student Union the day after.
On Thursday, December 4, they will head to the capital for a show at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
After this, the Weirdo tour rolls on to Southampton the following day.
The Rasmus will then finish off their UK stint at Nottingham’s Rock City on December 6.
This will round off the tour completely ahead of the festive period.
Talking of the upcoming tour schedule – which also includes European dates – Livin’ In A World without You hitmaker Lauri said: “It’s been a while since we went on tour, so we’re really excited to be heading out all over the world in 2025.
“It’s shaping up to be a massive tour and there’s more dates to come.
“We can’t wait to hang out with our fans. It’s going to be fun to see them again, we’re like family.”
After forming in 1994, the group released their first album the following year.
Yet it was their fifth album Dead Letters, released in 2003, that rocketed them to worldwide fame.
