Legendary dance act announce first live shows in ten years – and tickets go on sale this week

It comes as the band mark their 30th anniversary this year

A BRITISH dance act has revealed its first live shows in a decade.

The electronic music duo - who took their name from their regular club night in Brixton, London - will take to the stage in 2025 to mark a "new era" for the group.

Basement Jaxx have promised to "give people a great time" in a series of 2025 live shows across the UK.

Band members Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe have also teased "a couple of bangers" from their new album - which hasn't yet been released.

Their summer 2025 headline shows will kick off in Scarborough's Open Air Theatre on June 21 and wrap at Bute Park in Cardiff on August 24.

Other dates include shows in Dublin, Exeter, Dorset and London.

The Romeo hitmakers - who formed back in 1994 - will also play at the popular Dreamland Margate attraction on July 26 and Camp Bestival on August 2.

Festivals will also be on the band's hit-list, with Latitude on July 25 and Wilderness on August 3.

Felix revealed the huge news and said: "After a few years DJing round the globe, it’ll be great to return to the live stage and the Live Show Experience.

"To connect to people with life-affirming energy and give people a great time."

He added: "It’s great our hits are still very much alive with younger generations, so we connect across the age range – and it’ll be great to pop in a couple of bangers from our forthcoming album too."

We previously exclusively told how the Where's Your Head At duo were planning a series of gigs to mark their 30th anniversary as a band.

Earlier this year, a source told us: “Basement Jaxx got their name because of the club nights they put on in Brixton in 1994.

“They didn’t release their debut album for another five years but for Felix and Simon, this year celebrates 30 years from where their music first started.

“They are planning in the coming weeks to announce a handful of massive shows to mark the milestone."

They added: "It’s something they’ve been talking about for a while."
