Celebs’ shocking revenge confessions…from billboard on hubby’s street & bedding ex’s sister to designer clothes bonfire
THEY say revenge is a dish best served cold and it seems I'm A Celebrity's Maura Higgins knows that better than most.
The Irish stunner, 33, shocked campmates on the ITV show when she revealed the disgusting way she got her own back on a cheating ex.
Maura said being betrayed by a former partner, who she didn't name, led her to go on dating show Love Island in 2019.
But not before exacting sweet revenge on him for messaging other women and then kicking him to the curb.
Talking to The Sun's Jane Moore (video below), Maura explained how she went through his phone and made the devastating discoveries that left her feeling she "didn't know him at all".
She continued: “I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day!”

She didn’t hold back, also announcing that she almost went one step further: "I considered taking a dump on it."
Maura's fellow campmates were gobsmacked by the admission and later, she said the heartache spurred her on in the Love Island villa.
“I went in like a bull in a china shop because I was so angry about that whole thing,” she explained.
While Maura's confession left jaws dropping, she's far from the only celebrity to have gone to great lengths to get even with a cheating former partner... as we reveal.
Olivia Attwood and Bradley Dack
TV star Olivia took revenge on her cheating footballer boyfriend Bradley Dack by heading going on Love Island too.
She coupled up with Chris Hughes in the villa and the pair moved in together after their stint of the reality TV series.
But Bradley clearly couldn’t get Olivia out of his head and came up with a revenge plan of his own, enrolling his best friend Ronnie Vint - who starred in this summer’s series of the dating show.
After a boozy night out in London, Brad decided to head to the house Liv shared with new love Chris in a bid to win her back - and wingman Ronnie tagged along.
But Brad, 30, couldn’t get into the apartment, so instead stole about 15 pairs of Chris’s shoes from a shoe rack in the hallway.
Ronnie revealed the stunt on Olivia’s So Wrong, It’s Right podcast, saying: "So, he came out with the shoes and I just remember him just throwing them.
"He was tying them up - one had about 100 knots in them and I think it is still there now that shoe.”
Olivia, 33, revealed she and Chris had been baffled by the incident and thought it was kids messing around - until a year later when she found out it was actually Brad.
But despite the ups and downs of their relationship, Olivia and Brad rekindled their romance and wedded in a fairytale ceremony.
Alison Hammond
Great British Bake Off star Alison, 49, has been dating masseur David Putman, 27, since the end of last year.
The pair seem totally loved up, but Alison has had her fair share of heartache over the years and admitted to taking revenge on one of her exes in spectacular fashion.
Speaking on Channel 4's The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan in 2022, Alison revealed she had brutally omitted an ex from her autobiography just to annoy him.
She said: “I really wanted to p*** my ex off so I didn’t include him at all. I phoned him up and said, ‘Are you okay with me putting you in the book?’ and he said, 'Yeah, that’s fine, I’d love you to’, and I just left him out. And then I sent him the book!”
Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes
Fans of daytime TV were left reeling earlier this year when Ruth and Eamonn announced their shock split.
Eamonn, who has been struggling with crippling back problems, has since moved on with new girlfriend Katie Alexander (below).
And Loose Women star Ruth, 64, wasted no time in making sure the split was final by reportedly removing Eamonn’s stairlift from the home they shared.
She claimed the GB News host had 'cheated' on her by sending messages to another woman, who she didn't name.
Ruth took the decision to get rid of the equipment before Eamonn, also 64, had a chance to pick up all of his final belongings.
Pals said classy Ruth couldn't resist the opportunity to get payback on her former partner.
Paloma Faith and Leyman Lahcine
The singer revealed the “incredibly petty” way she sought revenge on ex-husband Leyman Lahcine after their split.
The payback plot emerged when Paloma, 43, shared a seven-point 'break up survival guide' with fans on Instagram, which laid out her hilarious top tips for moving on.
One of them was an admission that she paid for a billboard with her face on it to be plastered on a wall on her ex's street, in the hope he would walk past and regret their separation.
Paloma later told The Sun that Leyman was unfaithful, adding: "I'll never be perfect so if that's what you want, go find someone else that you'll cheat on.
"Be boring. It's never boring with me - maybe annoying, maybe irritating, maybe stressful. But not boring."
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde was said to be left feeling humiliated after being served divorce papers on stage (as you can see below) at a film convention.
The actress, who has two children with Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis looked flustered while opening the envelope marked “Personal and Confidential” in front of hundreds of fans.
She had been interrupted by a mystery courier while giving a talk about thriller Don’t Worry Darling - which stars ex-1D singer Harry Styles, who she was dating at the time.
An insider close to Jason said he had no knowledge the papers would be served in that way.
It was previously claimed that Olivia had cheated on Jason with Harry, which she denied.
Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears
Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were the ultimate music power couple when they dated between 1999 and 2002 after first meeting as pre-teens on The Mickey Mouse Club.
However, after their split, Justin appeared to make quite the statement when he hired a Britney lookalike for his Cry Me A River music video.
The famous 2002 video portrays Justin catching a girl who looked like Britney (below) 'cheating' on him.
Years later, Britney told Rolling Stone: ”He called me up [and said] 'And by the way, you’re in a video that’s coming out. Don’t worry about it. It’s not a big deal.’
"The record label called and said, 'If you want to change this, you can.' I had the power to say no to the video. But I didn’t, because I thought, 'Hey, it’s your video.’
"I hadn’t seen it. Then it came out, and I said, 'I should’ve freakin’ said no to this s***!'"
Iggy Azalea and Nick Young
When the Aussie singer and rapper Iggy Azalea found out her ex-fiancé Nick Young (below) was cheating on her, she says she got immediate revenge by burning all of his clothing.
While she initially threw some of his things into a pool, she later decided to build a bonfire.
"I burnt it all, darling. Every designer you could think of, I've burned," she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
"I text him and video and I was like, 'Hey, I'm burning your s***. I don’t know where you're at -- probably with some girl. I hope you get home quickly because we're progressing on the spectrum of cheap to expensive.'”
Catherine Tyldesley
The former Corrie star (below) left Loose Women viewers gobsmacked when she revealed how she took revenge on a cheating ex.
Her Coronation Street character Eva was going through a cheating storyline, and Cath said she could totally relate having been there herself - watch her tell the full story below.
She said: “It happened to me when I was younger... I might have poured a little bit of nail varnish into somebody’s Xbox but that’s as far as it went, but Eva - she’s very extreme.”
Cath, now 41, had the audience in fits of laughter with her revelation and said she was ‘very young’ at the time but did admit it felt good to seek revenge.
Thankfully she found her own happy ending and is married to personal trainer and photographer Tom Pitfield, whom she shares two children with.
Peter Andre
It seems those Loose Women have a knack for encouraging celebrities to confess their revenge secrets, as Peter Andre revealed to the panel that he had once slept with a cheating ex’s sister.
Recalling being on tour with Bobby Brown, Peter said: “I thought he (Bobby) really liked me because he kept asking me to come out in the evenings with him.
"I thought, 'Wow this guy is so nice', and every time he invited me he would say, 'Bring your girlfriend along too'. I thought he was the nicest guy.”
But Peter revealed (you can watch the full story below) that one night his Mysterious Girl didn’t come back to the hotel with him - she left with Bobby instead and didn’t come back until 10am the next day.
So Peter went to see his ex’s sister to pour his heart out and get some ‘comfort’ - as he described it.
But Andrea McLean wasn’t convinced Peter had revealed the whole story and asked if he’d had sex with his ex’s sister.
Peter laughed, before adding: “I did not say that! But yes I did.”
Daniel Craig and Satsuki Mitchell
Before marrying Rachel Weisz in 2011, James Bond actor Daniel Craig was engaged to Hollywood producer Satsuki Mitchell.
The pair were together for seven years and going their separate ways in 2010, around the time the pair were starring in the movie Dream House together.
It's believed he left Satsuki for his now wife, whom he wed six months later. The pair have never commented on it as they remain extremely private about their relationship.
The Japanese-American was said to be "absolutely bewildered" by what happened with Rachel and how quickly the romance progressed.
Understandably upset, Satsuki was reported by Perez Hilton to have hit Craig where it hurt financially - by allegedly racking up $1m on his credit card.

Following the split, her father Christopher told the Mail: "His sudden marriage came out of nowhere.
"We heard about it like everyone else, by reading the newspapers. She doesn’t mention his name now and tells me off if I do.”
