Meghan Trainor struggles to smile on red carpet after revealing botched Botox and warning to fans
The singer said she now looked as if she'd smelled someone’s fart
MEGHAN Trainor seemingly struggled to smile while on the red carpet of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on Tuesday.
The All About That Bass singer recently spoke out about her botched Botox and issued a warning to fans, but still put on a brave face while at the event in Fort Worth, Texas, this week.
Meghan, 30, shared that she had got “too much Botox” recently, with the botched filler leaving her unable to smile.
But despite struggling to smile, Meghan still tried her best to grin while walking the red carpet last night.
Meghan was dressed in a sexy ensemble of a red leather pleated miniskirt, covered in dazzling gems, and a Santa-esque bra top complete with white fur.
The singer accessorised with some sparkly fishnet tights covered in tiny diamante gems, a cropped red cardigan, and a Santa hat.
Completing the very festive look, Meghan also rocked some knee-high red boots that were adorned with sparkling gems.
Meghan wore her blonde locks down and in a wavy style, with the hitmaker opting for a natural yet glam makeup look comprising of wispy lashes and a pink lip.
Speaking out recently in her podcast , Meghan shared how she had “too much Botox”.
She confessed “I need help”, after addressing women in their 30s and urging them to keep listening.”
MEGHAN’S BOTOX STRUGGLE
She added: “I messed up. I’ve had Botox a handful of times … just my forehead.
“Someone convinced me with my little lips that if you did a lip flip, you put filler right above your upper lip, that you could have a beautiful flip on your upper lip.
“And I could have one for the first time in my whole 30 years of living — it was not true.”
She then confessed that she is now unable to smile properly.
“I cannot smile anymore,” she admitted while looking into the camera and showing viewers how wide she could grin.
What are the risks of lip fillers?
THE RISKS of dermal fillers depend on whether the procedure was done correctly and the type of filler used.
The NHS recommends you speak to your practitioner about the risks beforehand.
Serious problems are rare but can include:
- Infection
- A lumpy appearance under the skin, which might need to be treated with surgery or medicine
- The filler moving away from the intended treatment area, which may need to be removed using surgery
- Scarring
- Blocked blood vessels in the face, which can cause tissue death and permanent blindness
You should see your GP if you have any complications that need medical attention and speak to your practitioner if you’re not happy with the results or experience lumpiness.

She said: “Look, this is as big as I can smile.”
Meghan’s brother and podcast co-host then weighed in and recalled the moment that he realised his sister couldn’t smile properly anymore.
Out shopping together at Home Goods, Ryan turned to his sister and said: “Bro, you can’t smile.”
On the podcast, Meghan then said that after that moment, she couldn’t “unsee it”.
She continued: “And everywhere I go, I cannot smile. My face hurts to smile, to even try.”
‘I DON’T LOOK HAPPY’
“I don’t look happy. I look like I smelled someone’s fart … somebody help me,” she pleaded.
Meghan then opened up about why she turned to filler and Botox.
The hitmaker explained that she kept getting compliments and telling her how well “rested” she looked, which sparked her to get more.
