HAPPY Valley's James Norton has joined a Game of Thrones star in epic new period drama King & Conqueror.
Behind-the-scenes photos of the new eight-part historical epic, which will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in 2025, show epic battles and painstaking attention to detail.
King & Conqueror charts the story of Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy, who met at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 nearly 1,000 years ago.
Two dynasties find themselves in a clash for power in 11th Century Britain as King Harold faces a threat to the throne from an ambitious Norman.
The period drama explores the events leading up to the Battle of Hastings and its aftermath.
