Eva Jacqueline Longoria is an American actress, producer, model and business woman born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The star describes herself “Texican” as she was born in Texas of Mexican descent – and that her family stretches back to when Texas was part of Mexico, saying in a 2013 interview: “We never crossed the border, the border crossed us.”
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology (the study of body movement) from Texas A&M University – and graduated from Chicago University in 2013 with a Masters in Chicano Studies (the study of Americans of Mexican descent).

Eva Longoria played the iconic character of Gabrielle Solis in the multi Emmy Award winning Desperate Housewives between 2004 and 2012.
Her character endured a number of high-profile story lines – including a long-running affair with her teenage gardener John Rowland (played by Jesse Metcalfe).
Her turbulent marriage to Carlos (played by Ricardo Chavira) survived the eight seasons of the show – with a dramatic storyline towards the end of the show seeing Gabrielle and Carlos struggling to cover up the accidental murder of her abusive stepfather.

What is the Eva Longoria Foundation?
The Eva Longoria Foundation is a charity set up by the star with the aim of closing the education gap suffered by Latinos – aiming to reduce school drop out rates and end Latino poverty.
“The Eva Longoria Foundation’s programs help Latinas excel in school and attend college. Additionally, we provide Latina entrepreneurs with career training, mentorship, capital and opportunity,” the charity website states.
Eva Longoria also founded Eva’s Heroes in 2006 which helps disabled children.
