JAKE'S FIGHT CLUB

EastEnders’ Jake Wood reveals Heavy D is in peak condition ahead of his boxing match with Lewis Bloor tomorrow night

EASTENDERS star Jake Wood can't wait to see Lewis Bloor and Heavy D battle it out in the ring tomorrow night - and warns the Storage Wars star hasn't left the gym for over TWO MONTHS.

Just hours before the sold-out Boxing With The Stars event he's organised with pal Spencer Oliver, Jake gave his expert opinion on the Celebrity Big Brother rivals' bout.

He said: "Of the eight fights, Heavy D and Lewis is going to be the highlight for me.

"Heavy D's in the gym all the time with my friend Spencer, he’s doing great, he’s fully committed.

"As far as I know Lewis is a fit guy anyway and there’s training and he's up for it.

"I know they’ve had altercations before, so this seems like the perfect opportunity to get in the ring and sort it out."

While Jake - who stars as dodgy Max Branning in the BBC soap - wouldn't comment on who he thinks will win tomorrow's sold out match, the TV pin-up admitted that Heavy seems to be taking it incredibly seriously.

He added: "I’ve seen Heavy’s projection over the last eight weeks from where he started to where he’s at now, and he’s looking sharp.

"He’s a big guy, I think if he catches Lewis, Lewis could be in trouble, but Lewis knows his way around the ring a little bit more.

"I think this is Heavy D’s first fight, but Heavy’s got the weight advantage.

"It will be an interesting match. It will be the main event of the night."

The CBB rivals' hatred for one another stems from when they were holed-up in the Elstree compound last summer.

But being out of the house hasn't stopped them from bickering, with the pair regularly throwing insults at each other via social media and in interviews.

Only last week Heavy D, 43, slammed Lewis for fat-shaming him on Twitter, and revealed that he had lost TWO STONE in preparation for their tense tear-up.

The dad-to-be's angry comments came after Lewis branded him "a joke" in a scathing interview.

But Lewis and Heavy aren't the only pair set to battle it out in the ring, with two other reality stars lined up for a two three-minute rounds.

Jake said: "We’ve got Nathan Massey, he’s fighting another guy from the gym, a businessman, and it's his first time in the ring.

"George Gilby from Gogglebox is fighting Frank Smith who’s Eddie Hern’s number two, so that’ll be a great fight.

"Frank’s got a great table of boxers coming, including Ed Colwell, Tony Belu, Anthony Joshua. They’re there to support Frank. It's a glitzy table and we have lots of support.

"We’ve got Jack Devlin from Ex On The Beach, I think he’s had a few bouts before, quite a fit guy, gonna be a good fighter.

"He’s fighting someone who knows his way around the ring. Spencer has matched it as evenly as he can, that’s his area of expertise."

Jake got in to boxing during his year away from EastEnders, and soon swapped training for an actual match.

The bout, which took part last October before Max's dramatic return to Walford, raised money for tragic Scottish boxer Mike Towell, who died from head injuries sustained in the ring and Parkinson's UK.

This time the proceeds will go to , and Jake hopes to organise two more events this year to help more good causes.

Jake won't be getting in the ring this time, but he'll be backstage "helping the boxers warm up and whatever needs doing."

He added: "For us, we’re all boxing fans and it’s an opportunity to have a great night and raise some money for charity.

"Boxing is huge at the moment, I don’t think many people are doing that celebrity boxing crossover and hopefully we’re gonna do two shows a year and we’ve got people lining up to fight on each one.

"So overall it’s going to be a fantastic evening."
