It comes after the TV star revealed he had been in a terrifying car crash
JOE Swash today begged for the MasterChef job after Gregg Wallace quit the BBC show.
The presenter, 42, made it to the final of the celebrity version of the show in 2021.
Yesterday, The Sun revealed how the “race is on” to find Gregg’s replacement.
He stepped down from the BBC show last month after the Beeb launched an investigation into allegations of historical misconduct.
The Sun revealed how Gegg previously came under fire when “inappropriate sexual comments” were reportedly made to a female BBC staffer on Impossible Celebrities.
Since then, 13 people who have worked with the star across a range of shows over a 17-year period have accused him of making sexual comments.
Gregg’s long-term future on the show remains unclear but MasterChef will air for at least another four years, it has been confirmed.
Names which have been thrown into the hat that could replace him include Gino D’Acampo, James Martin and Nigella Lawson.
Sharing a screen grab of our article, Joe wrote across it: “And what about me!!”
Before quipping: “I can cook!”
Whilst on Celebrity MasterChef the actor proved he has got quite a talent for cooking.
In fact, Joe released a cook book called Joe Kitchen which was on the Sunday Times Bestsellers List.
Meanwhile, earlier today Joe revealed he had been in a terrifying car crash after his vehicle was hit by a lorry.
The star shared a video to his Instagram stories of his motor with extensive damage to the side after the collision.
He captioned the story: “I got hit by a lorry!!!! Done the done of my car!!!! F#%K!!!!”
He then quickly removed the video after sparking concern and reassured fans he was fine.
The star didn’t give any further details but was quick to reassure fans he wasn’t hurt.

No other posts have been shared by the star about his accident.
Joe is currently starring in panto, and last night his wife Stacey Solomon and their huge brood of kids went along to see dad in action.
His car accident came just hours after the family went to see him perform.
