EastEnders actor Ned Porteous ‘in talks’ to return to the soap as Mark Fowler Jnr… and dad Grant Mitchell might come too

EASTENDERS star Ned Porteous, known for playing Mark Fowler Jnr, is in talks to return to the soap.
The actor appeared in 13 episodes of the soap last year arriving after a mysterious call from Phil Mitchell.
He said: “I might be coming back to Eastenders and Ross wants to return. With Danny Dyer on a break the show needs a bad boy.”
Mark Fowler, the son of Grant Mitchelle and Michelle Fowler, arrived in Walford in August 2016.
Speaking about his arrival, newcomer Ned Porteous said: "Being part of two iconic families and the longest kept secret in EastEnders history is beyond exciting! I’m honoured to be here and can’t wait for viewers to properly meet Mark Jr."
Meanwhile, Ross Kemp, who played Grant Mitchell, made a brief return to EastEnders in May last year then once more in September.

His arrival back to Albert Square was prompted by on-screen mother Peggy Mitchell’s death.
But Ross wouldn’t rule out another comeback.
Speaking to OK! Online Ross said: “You know what, in life, particularly if you work in television, who knows? Never rule out anything!”
Meanwhile Ross expressed his “sympathy” for actor Danny Dyer after the hard man was forced to take a break due to his alleged partying.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Ross said: “I think the attention is something you have to balance along with the long hours there.
“I have a sympathy for anyone who is in that job obviously and dealing with the pressures of it.”
Danny Dyer jetted off to South Africa following the incident but has since returned home.
He is expected to return to filming but no date has yet been confirmed.
A BBC spokesperson has been contacted for comment.
