Michelle Keegan, Katie Price and Charlotte Crosby urge public to help save baby Charlie Gard as his parents reveal they’re £250,000 away from saving his life
Unless Connie Yates and Chris Gard can raise £1.2 million by April 3, little Charlie’s life support machine will be switched off
CELEBRITIES including Michelle Keegan, Katie Price and Charlotte Crosby are urging the public to dig deep to help try and save the life of seriously ill Charlie Gard.
Seven-month-old Charlie suffers from mitochondrial depletion syndrome and his parents are battling to take him to the United States for treatment they hope will save his life.
His parents Connie Yates and Chris Gard were given a month by the High Court to prove the treatment would be for Charlie’s benefit as they are fighting specialists who believe the little boy should have his ventilator turned off.
On Saturday the couple revealed they have hit the £900,000 target, with the rich and famous bringing his plight to their millions of followers.
Alongside Michelle, Katie and Charlotte, other stars helping to raise awareness of Charlie’s cause include Pixie Lott and Sam Faiers.

Their support alone has helped Charlie’s parents reach an 11 extra people million alone and the total raised is still rising.
Chris told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “We are very biased because he’s our son but Charlie is a special, special boy.
“We will never, ever give up on him.”
Charlie was born on August 4 last year and initially seemed healthy, but his health quickly deteriorated.
The tiny tot has not been out of hospital since he was aged eight weeks and diagnosed with the rare condition, which is only known to affect 15 other people in the world.

A segment of their plea reads: “We just CAN’T let our baby die when there is something that might help him.
“We won’t give up on him because he has a rare disease.”
They continued: “He deserves a chance and he deserves a life as much as anyone else.”
“If Charlie receives this treatment and it does work like the Dr in America thinks, it won’t be just Charlie’s life that has been saved, it will be many more children in the future, who are born with this horrible disease and it will open up other trials on other similar genes.”
