LOVE Island star Mary Bedford has shared every passenger's worst nightmare, after she and a friend were denied entry onto their plane for Thailand.

The influencer and model, who first appeared on TV screens for the seventh series of Love Island in 2021, revealed to fans online that her New Year's trip faced serious jeopardy.

Sharing a selfie of herself and her pal with their suitcases in a life to Instagram, Mary hinted at the drama as she wrote: "Just two girls at 5am on Monday morning who had no idea the stress they was about to encounter".

In the next Story, Mary linked out to her Snapchat as she told fans: "1 hour later after being denied entry to the plane."

Posting a full explainer video to her Snapchat, Mary detailed how she and her pal Chantelle arrived at Manchester Airport excited for their trip and checked in suitcases.

However they hit issues when Mary's friend was told she wouldn't be able to fly due to a rip in her passport, with Mary explaining: "Obviously, she didn't know about the rip in the passport, but they was like Phuket is so strict.

"You will land there, get held in a room for 24 hours and then get deported straight back to the UK."

The girls were given some advice by airport staff, who advised them to get to the Passport office in Liverpool for when it opened at 8am and see if there was a chance an emergency passport could be sorted.

Mary showed the pair racing from Manchester Airport over to Liverpool to be there as it opened. She told fans: "She went in by herself and I didn't know what was going on.

";Until I see this happening through the window, smiling for a picture. I have never been more excited in my life.

"I waited for an hour and a half whilst she was in the passport office, and she came out and was like, 'we're getting a passport! We are going on this plane today!'

"This is the face of a girl who's just got a passport by the skin of her teeth."

Revealing they were able to get it printed within 30 minutes and then hot foot it back to the airport, the pair were put on a later flight and made their end of year holiday.

Mary and her pal Chantelle did eventually make it to Thailand with Mary praising Qatar Airways for making it happen.

Sharing a picture from her airplane seat, Mary told followers: "But seriously I cannot thank Qatar Airways staff in Manchester Airport anymore for this morning!!!

"If it wasn't for them we 100% wouldn't have got to Thailand for new year or probably at all!

"Every single person was so kind and helpful & now I don't ever want to fly with another airline they are quite literally the best."

Mary first rose to fame on the seventh series of Love Island in 2021, when she entered via Casa Amor.

She progressed to the villa but was dumped three weeks later from the villa.
