Sam Thompson is in high spirits as he tells fans 2025 will be the best year ever amid shock split from Zara McDermott

SAM Thompson isn't letting his shock split from Zara McDermott get him down.

The TV star was brimming with positive energy in a new video shared on Instagram in which he says this year will be "amazing".

Walking down the street, Sam exclaimed: "New year 2025 baby. Come on! Let's have it. I can't wait. The new year is going to be amazing.

"You're going to have the best year ever, and you know I'm never wrong, I'm always right. You're going to have the best year ever [kiss]. I love ya."

It came as reported Sam and Zara had parted ways.

A source close to the couple said: "Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It's been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.

"But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.

Sam has partied hard over the festive period, sinking shots on his Staying Relevant podcast bash, alongside best pal Pete Wicks, and again last night with his Made In Chelsea crew.

Meanwhile there's been no pictures of Sam and Zara together, with the former spending his Christmas Day delivering presents for a charity.

But two weeks ago the pair looked more loved-up than ever and Sam declared they would be together forever as they celebrated Zara's birthday.

He wrote on social media: "My best friend, and soul mate….some would say my person. I’m afraid you’re stuck with me forever happy birthday.

"I love you so much, and wow have I missed you over the past month! Here’s to another amazing year with you."
