Towie’s Pete Wicks insists there’s ‘no need for nastiness’ between him and Megan McKenna after split… just days before their explosive row in the street

PETE Wicks and Megan McKenna met face to face for the first time since their split on Wednesday night's Towie.

While the pair became embroiled in an explosive row while filming for a future episode this week, things were far more civil the first time they spoke as singletons.

Standing outside James Lock's Seven nightclub,  the pair greeted each other with a kiss and Pete smiled as he described their encounter as "awkward".

He then told his ex: "I don't think its ever going to be normal, is it?"

As Megan began to respond, he insisted he didn't want to hear her justify any of her actions to him now they weren't together, however, she had her heart set on trying to set the record straight.

She told him: "I want you to know when I was with you I was completely faithful to you."

Softening a touch, Pete said: "There shouldn't be any nastiness between me and you."

Reflecting on their time together, Megan added: "It's just a shame it never worked because I felt like it could have.

"It just got weird with me and you, it was sh*t."

Meanwhile, Megan accused Pete of cheating on her with a girl in Scotland and ‘getting close to’ co-star Chloe Sims in their explosive public row on Tuesday.

The pair had to be restrained by their TV crew after a furious argument threatened to turn violent in Essex.

The on-off couple’s most explosive row yet began after Megan saw photos of her former boyfriend saying goodbye to his longtime pal Chloe just days ago on The Sun Online and accused him of getting too close to her.

Megan began screaming in Pete’s face demanding to know what was going on before being dragged away by crew members.

“They immediately started a heated discussion after Megan saw pictures of Pete… with Chloe Sims recently.”

As they came face to face, Megan jabbed her finger in Pete’s direction and put her face close to his as she started shouting.

Although Pete appeared to keep his cool, he seemed to lose his temper after a while and started to scream back at his ex.
