HEART op pop star Max George has revealed he is facing a fresh health scare.
The Wanted singer says doctors need to investigate enlarged lymph nodes in his lungs.
Max, 36, who had a pacemaker fitted last month, will have a biopsy to try to get to the bottom of his life-threatening heart problem.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Max also revealed how:
- HE splashed out on Christmas gifts fearing it would be his last;
- MESSAGES of support came from players at his beloved Man City;
- HE is looking forward to holidays with actress girlfriend Maisie Smith;
- TRAGIC bandmate Tom Parker was in his thoughts while in hospital.
Yesterday, The Sun on Sunday revealed Max credits mum Babs for helping him get emergency treatment. He was rushed into A&E last month before pacemaker surgery.

And fearing that he would die, he wrote out his will on his iPhone. Now he faces fresh trauma.
Max said: “The doctors have discovered enlarged lymph nodes on my lungs.
“This could be a sign of what caused my heart problems.
“I’ve got to have a lung biopsy in a couple of weeks. It sounds pretty gnarly. It might tell us what the cause was.”

He also revealed he ordered dozens of Christmas gifts, including art for Maisie, 23, and a Liam Gallagher jacket for his brother Jack, 38.
He said: “I thought it would be my last Christmas so I spent so much money.”
Max was reunited with ex-EastEnders star Maisie, his family and bulldog Archie on Christmas Eve.
He said of the pooch: “I really missed him. He is like my son. My family has been by my side and I was so grateful to them.”
Max said he begged his surgeon to avoid the chest tattoo he has in memory of Tom, who died in 2022 from a brain tumour.
He said of his pacemaker: “I’ve been told I have a chance at just living a normal life, which is more than many get. Thinking about Tom did help me.”

Max said he had been inundated with messages of support, including from Manchester City stars.
And he is looking forward to holidays with Maisie and his mum.
He said: “Maisie wants to go skiing, she is the boss, so we’ll see.”
Max is due to perform with The Wanted 2.0 at Manchester Cathedral on Thursday, February 27, and said: “I can’t wait to get on stage again.
