But Libertines frontman Pete Doherty is now going back to school – as a lecturer.

The Can’t Stand Me Now singer said: “I was asked by a French university, actually, to lecture - something to do with fame and social media - and I didn’t really feel I was equipped.

“But I had already cashed the cheque, so I’m going to have to do something.

“I’ve got a year and a half to write four 45-minute essays, so I might have to get myself a phone. I’ll do my best to educate and entertain.

“But I’ll be strict with the coursework. Anyone listening who thinks it’s going to be a breeze doesn’t know Professor Doherty.”

Pete, who will play 22 dates across seven countries with his band this year, spent a year studying English Literature at the University of London as a teenager but is now thinking of enrolling in another degree.

Speaking on Tracks Of My Years, which will air during Vernon Kay's Radio 2 show each day this week, he said: “I’d love to do that.

"I think about that quite a lot.

"I don’t think I’ve got the time right now.

“To actually give myself to full-time study, not yet, not while I’m still on tour.

"But I do think about that.”

ANITTA GIVES YOU WINGS

BRAZILIAN singing sensation Anitta takes skateboard gear to a whole new level in this diamond encrusted outfit featuring wings and chaps.

The musician, who has become one of the world’s most popular WAGs since starting a relationship with Sheffield United’s Vinícius Souza, wore the eye-catching clobber for a performance in Brazil at the weekend.

Anitta is one of the nation’s most popular stars and has 64million followers on Instagram – only 600,000 fewer than than Cristiano Ronaldo's long-term partner, model Georgina Rodríguez.

She has worked with stars including Madonna and Rita Ora and last year she supported Kylie Minogue at BST Hyde Park in London.

With a wardrobe this sparkly, it’s no wonder she caught Souza’s eye.

CLEAN NAOMI PLEA TO PALS

NAOMI CAMPBELL has been sober for decades and now it sounds like she’s eager for her famous friends to join her.

The supermodel, who entered rehab for drugs and alcohol in 1999, has posted not one, not two, but five pointed quotes about being clean of booze and substances on her Instagram Story this week.

One said: “Push your friends to recover, because addiction is wiping out our generation.”

Another read: “Sobriety is not about giving something up. It’s about taking everything back.”

It comes ahead of her pal Kate Moss's 51st birthday party in London this week, which I’m told will be filled with booze.

According to those close to her, Kate is keen to cut loose following her split from boyfriend Count Nikolai Von Bismarck last year.

One person who will definitely be sticking to the water is Naomi.

MALTA KANT BE SERIOUS?

THERE have been plenty of close-to-the-bone Eurovision songs – but Malta’s 2025 entry may end up being the rudest yet.

Several tunes have been released which will battle it out for the chance to represent the nation, including one called Kant by a singer called Miriana Conte.

Malta's Eurovision entry for 2025 is a song called Kant by Miriana Conte

That title translates as “sing” in Maltese, but in the chorus she loudly sings, “serving Kant,” which sounds like she’s singing a very rude word.

But I’ll leave that to your imagination.

Safe to say, I doubt the BBC will be too impressed if she qualifies for May’s contest in Switzerland.

FRESH from the release of their new album on Friday, Franz Ferdinand have been announced to play an Amazon Music City Sessions show.

The former Love Island winner said: “I’m going to start vlogging my lead up to the wedding because I love watching people’s little videos.

“I’m not going to overshare because Jarrod won’t do . . . I really wanted to do a wedding show and Jarrod was like, ‘Absolutely not’.”

Her comments came while chatting to her actor dad Danny on their podcast Live And Let Dyers, where she also moaned that people haven’t replied to her invites.
