Cat Deeley has been unveiled as Maskface on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway's The Missing Crown Jewels.

After weeks of clues and teasing viewers, the culprit was finally revealed on Saturday night.

Ripping off the mask, Ant and Dec's former SM:TV Live co-host showed her face, and her glossy locks at the same time.

Explaining her reasons, Cat said: "After SM:TV Live Ant and Dec went on to become household names and forgot all about me.

"All I ever wanted was to be recognised at home so I took matters into my own hands and stole the crown jewels now I just need to sit on the throne."

However the Geordie duo managed to thwart her attempts by taking down her henchmen with the help of the 90s classic Let's Get Ready to Rumble.

As they changed into their sports outfits from the video, they danced their way around all of the baddies while Emilia Fox got to grips with Cat.

They then made a reference to their hit SM:TV Live gameshow segment Wonkey Donkey by getting Cat to guess what she looked like.

As she struggled to work out the clue, the pair revealed it was "Flat Cat".

After the drama was all wrapped up, Ant and Dec introduced Cat, 40, to the stage to chat about working together for the first time since their SM:TV Live days.

And the trio revealed they would be joining forces again for a one-off special to celebrate the Saturday morning show's 20th anniversary next year.

The stars hosted SM:TV Live from 1998 until 2003 and they couldn't help but reminisce about their time together back in the day.

Ant said: "It was great working together though wasn't it?

"We loved it, absolutely loved it."

Cat agreed saying: "Yeah it was great, really, really fun."

Dec added: "This was the first time the three of us have kind of worked together since SM:TV Live, since we kind of broke up then.

"We had some great times didn't we on Saturday morning?"

The gang then looked back at a clip of them getting the giggles over a readers letter before the camera came back to them live at the Magic Kingdom.

Ant said: "Now Cat, that will be 20 years next year, I reckon - we were talking - we should do a 20 year reunion next year.

"What do you reckon? Are you up for it?

"Shall we do it? Shall we do a one off?"

Cat agreed to do it leading to a big cheer from Ant

Cat pretended to deliberate as the crowd cheered a big 'Yes' before she said: "But would we be rubbish now?"

Dec quipped: "We were rubbish then!"

She replied: "OK yeah let's do it!"
