Janet Jackson could earn MILLIONS in divorce from billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana amid claims the split came at crucial pre-nup five-year mark

JANET Jackson could reportedly earn MILLIONS in a divorce from billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana amid claims the split came at a crucial five-year mark.

The pop veteran is believed to have parted ways with her husband just three months after the birth of their son, and a new report suggests she could be in line for a major windfall if they signed a pre-nuptial agreement.

Michael Jackson's superstar sister married Al Mana, 42, in 2012, and she gave birth to their first child together in January at the age of 50.

But they are now believed to have split and TMZ.com reports the timing of the break-up is crucial to a pre-nup.

The site suggests the former couple "almost certainly" signed an agreement to safeguard their assets.

Most deals have clauses that give bigger pay outs to those who have been married for five to 10 years.

Janet's split from Al Mana comes fives years after they tied the knot and the site reports that the timing of the break-up means she now stands to take away a larger chunk of her husband's estimated £807 million fortune.

Janet is believed to be worth around £141 million herself from her lucrative music career, but her wealth is dwarfed by that of her husband, who is CEO of the multinational Al Mana business conglomerate.

The Rhythm Nation singer gave birth to son Eissa on January 3 aged 50, after she cancelled her 2016 world tour to focus on becoming a mother.

about the split, saying: "Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways.
"They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart.

"It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London."

The couple married in 2012 and was the singer's third trip down the aisle after previously being married to fellow musician James DeBarge from 1984 until 1985 and dancer Rene Elizondo Jr. from 1991 until 2000.
