David Walliams is a 52-year-old comedian and children's author.
He was born on August 20, 1971, in Merton, London, to a lab technician mother and transport engineer father.
His career began after he met comedy partner Matt Lucas while performing with the National Youth Theatre, after graduating from Bristol with a BA in Drama.
He became best known for his role as a judge on BGT but decided to step down from the position in November 2022.

They married in May 2010 in an £80,000 ceremony at Claridge’s hotel in London, where guests included ex-Spice Girl Geri Horner, Elton John, Fearne Cotton, Vernon Kay, Tess Daly, and Walliams’ former Little Britain co-star Matt Lucas.
