Britain’s Got Talent’s Alesha Dixon vows both she and Amanda Holden will keep flashing the flesh in skimpy outfits despite viewers complaining to Ofcom

ALESHA Dixon has vowed to keep flashing the flesh on Britain’s Got Talent — even though her revealing outfits caused a fuss last year.

Her and fellow judge Amanda Holden’s skimpy attire in a live show led to an investigation by TV watchdog Ofcom.

But Alesha, 38, insists the pair won’t be restricted on the new series, which starts on Saturday.

In an exclusive interview she told The Sun: “Amanda Holden and I have decided to wear bin bags this year and we’re going to tie it around the top of our necks to our ankles, you’re not going to see any skin.

“Well there’s no chance of that!

“Amanda and I love the glamorous side of it.

"That’s the most fun part for us, getting to dress up and wear incredible designers — and you create show-stopping outfits that you wouldn’t go down the local pub in.

“It’s a fantastic platform to have fun with fashion and I think that people really look forward to seeing what we’re going to wear.”

She added: “I think at the end of the day, Amanda and I, we are tasteful with what we do.

“We want to come out looking sexy and feminine and beautiful at the same time.”

Alesha, who was known for wearing racy outfits in her ’90s girlband Mis-Teeq, admitted that head judge Simon, 57, would be “motified” if she and Amanda, 46, were to turn up wearing bin bags.

She said: “It’s the last thing he wants.

"Otherwise he’d have hired four men, wouldn’t he?”

The first episode of the ITV talent show’s new series features The Missing People Choir, who are already being tipped as this year’s winners.

The choir includes the fathers of chef Claudia Lawrence, who disappeared in 2009 and Lee Boxell, who vanished in 1988.

The dads, both called Peter, will be seen performing the song I Miss You.

Alesha believes that one of the choir member’s missing relatives could be found as a result of their involvement in the show.

She said: “This choir actually shows the power of the show.

“It was a really strange audition, one of the strangest auditions I’ve ever experienced.

“But at the same time I thought this is a fantastic platform, this is great, it’s going to raise awareness.

“Who knows how far this could go — somebody could be found as a result of this.

"It’s a community of people that have come together that other people can now join in with.

“This is bigger than just winning a talent competition — it took it to the next level.”

She added: “They were brilliantly talented and they had lovely voices, but at the same time they’re up there and their hearts are breaking for their family members that are missing.

“I think every person in the room was emotional.”

After visiting The Sun, Alesha went to BGT’s launch at the Mayfair Hotel in central London yesterday afternoon — where she wore a low-cut black crop top and tight-fitting white fishtail skirt.

Simon Cowell, judge David Walliams, hosts Ant and Dec and spin-off show presenter Stephen Mulhern all missed the event due to other work commitments.

Ex-Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha branded the 11th series of BGT an “emotional rollercoaster”.

She said: “Up until last year I wouldn’t have really said I’m a crier on the show.

“But like with any of us whatever is going on in your life you tend to kind of relate things to people.

“My golden buzzer act this year is very special. When they told the story and they performed, I had that real moment of gratitude.”

Despite the poignant auditions, Alesha recalled the funny moment Simon’s son Eric, who turned three in February, took a seat on the show’s judging panel.

She reckons the tot, whose mum is Simon’s partner Lauren Silverman, 39, will take over Cowell’s talent show empire when he retires.

She said: “He had no problem pressing the buzzer and seemed very comfortable in the chair.”

Last week The Sun revealed Alesha has been taking acting lessons in a bid to crack Hollywood.

She revealed: “I would love to do an action movie where I get to be athletic and kick ass, or a musical.”

Last year BGT chalked up one of ITV’s highest ratings — 9.6million viewers.

But Alesha and Amanda’s revealing outfits for the second live semi-final caused controversy.

Alesha’s black jumpsuit with cut out panels and Amanda’s yellow gown with a plunging neckline and sheer panels drew nearly 20 complaints to Ofcom.

However, following a probe the show was cleared of breaching broadcasting rules on nudity.

A spokesman for the TV watchdog also said the judges were not portrayed in a “sexualised way.”

MY KIDS' BOOK IS WRITE FUN

BUSY Alesha is working on a children’s book and hopes to replicate BGT co-star David Walliams’ success.

Critics called David, 45, “the new Roald Dahl” after his first five books sold a total of 2.2million copies in the UK.

Alesha said: “I guess maybe I was inspired by my daughter Azura.

“I created a character called Aurora Beam. Basically she’s a superhero and she will use energy and light to do great things.

“I’ve started creating all the characters and it’s fun.”
