Amanda Holden wants the Britain’s Got Talent panel to launch a kids’ version of the show with their children as the judges
Veteran BGT star Amanda has got some ideas up her sleeve for a spin off show and she’s keeping it close to home
AMANDA Holden has got big plans for the Britain’s Got Talent panel’s kids – revealing she’d love to see them fronting a spin-off of the talent show.
Speaking at the launch of the 11th series, the 46-year-old revealed she wanted to line up her own daughter Hollie alongside Simon Cowell’s son Eric and Alesha Dixon’s little girl Azura for a new show.
Amanda said: “I think kids judging kids would be good. Eric, Holly and Azura could do it!
“Wouldn’t it be hysterical.”
However Amanda’s keeping her idea well away from her boss Simon, adding: “I wouldn’t pitch it to Simon. He’d take it for himself and pretend he came up with it.”
There is a running kids theme in this series, with Amanda admitting: “Half the Golden Buzzers are kids. It’s an absolutely incredible thing.
“There is so much amazing young talent in this country. Every year people ask us if we’re running out of talent and I’m like no, because they’re all 12 and they’re all up and coming. It’s incredible!”
Alesha continued: “There are a lot of 14, 15 year old kids. One day the teens were better than the adults.
“They are fearless. You ask them if they’re nervous and they’re like, ‘no!’
“I think when you get older you become more aware, you think the teens would be nervous but they aren’t and it’s so refreshing.”
While David shared a snap on holiday just days ago, as he posed with a snowboard under his arm, Simon has been busy working in America for the last six weeks.
Simon missed the launch day last year too, as he paid a tearful goodbye to American Idol.
Meanwhile, Ant and Dec are taking some time out following the end of this year’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
