Who is George Blagden? Versailles actor playing King Louis XIV and Vikings and Les Miserables star

Who is George Blagden?

George Blagden is a 28-year-old actor that has appeared in film as well as on stage.

He is based in London and at the age of 13 began performing in a choir.

He attended Oudle School with a drama scholarship and became a member of the National Youth Theatre before studying acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

George is best known for playing King Louis XIV in the steamy French produced BBC drama Versailles, which is currently airing its third and final series.

What TV programmes and films has George Blagden appeared in?

George landed his first film role in 2011 when he was cast as Andy in the sci-fi thriller After the Dark.

He also starred in Wrath of the Titans before playing alcoholic student Grantaire in the big screen version of Les Miserables.

But his big break came in 2013 when he played the part of Athlestan in the historical drama Vikings.

Now he is hotting up the screen playing Louis XIV in Versailles, with his character romping with his mistress Madame de Montespan in a full-frontal nudity scene.

When is Versailles on TV?

The third season started on Monday, June 4, 2018.
