Zayn Malik’s mother Trisha becomes embroiled in Instagram row with fans of his ex Perrie Edwards after she ‘liked’ a comment that criticised the Little Mix star
Fury was unleashed by Little Mix fans after Trisha 'liked' a comment that slated Perrie
ZAYN Malik’s mother was on the receiving end of vicious comments from fans of Perrie Edwards after sharing a photo of flowers sent to her by her son.
On Friday Trisha Malik, 47, uploaded a photo of a delightful bouquet of flowers that had been sent to her by her 24-year-old son and his 21-year-old girlfriend Gigi Hadid to Instagram.
She captioned the photo: “From my sonshine and gigi [sic]”, plus the comment: “love them”.
The bouquet had seemingly been sent to help celebrate the launch of Trisha’s new beauty salon in Bradford – which Zayn helped fund.
The photo and caption were ‘liked’ by thousands of Zayn’s fans – who also flooded Trisha’s comments section.
However a furious backlash erupted when Trisha began in turn ‘liking’ some of the comments being left for her to read.
Among the comments liked was one by a fan who made reference Zayn’s former fiancé – 23-year-old Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, making accusations of her behaviour since the breakdown of their relationship in 2015.
Eagle eyed fans of Perrie noticed the ‘liked’ comment and unleashed a barrage of abuse against mother-of-four Trisha – branding her a “b***h” among a variety of other insults.
One Instagram user also stated they felt “disappointed” that Zayn’s mother had liked a derogatory remark – causing her to in turn respond: “I honestly don’t have anything against Perrie, I never have n I never will [sic]”.
As the torrent of abuse began to intensify, Trisha attempted to calm fans, stressing: “I don’t hate Perrie or anyone for that matter”.
She soon after attempted to backtrack further, typing: “This is the reason I don't come on to social media ,because everything u do always gets blown up in to some big drama.”
She continued: “I didn't like this comment ,I must of pressed it by mistake as I was going through them ,so please don't say things about me that r not true.”
