The Voice’s Gavin Rossdale admits he’ll ‘never get over divorce to Gwen Stefani’
GAVIN Rossdale has revealed he will never get over his "painful" divorce from popstar wife Gwen Stefani.
The Voice judge spoke candidly about their split last year, admitting his heartbreak hadn't fully healed.
Opening up about the high-profile break-up Gavin, 47, told : "I don't think you ever get over it.
"You just move on, and that's what I've tried to do.
"Divorce is a very painful thing to go through.
"But we both remain committed to being amicable co-parents, and that's very important to me."
The pair met in 1995 when No Doubt and Bush were on tour together. They got married in 2002 before going their separate ways in 2016.
The couple have three children together (10-year-old Kingston, eight-year-old Zuma and Apollo, 3), but after 14 years of marriage Gwen filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause.
Yet Daisy Lowe's hunky dad revealed they remained on good terms, with No Doubt singer Gwen messaging him to wish him luck for his role on The Voice UK.
While they remain pally, their break-up took its toll on his career.
He added: "After I got divorced last year the songs I began writing were quite maudlin and depressing and the record company told me they were just too sad.
"Well I suppose I was sad, after being with Gwen for almost 20 years.
"So I had to try and find a balance, which I think I have."
Meanwhile he revealed he is yet to start talks with producers about returning as a judge on the next series of the ITV talent show.
