Towie’s Chloe Sims refuses to film with Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna after fears abuse will affect her 12-year-old daughter
The reality star is taking action to protect her young family
CHLOE Sims says she will no longer be filming scenes with Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna on The Only Way Is Essex after a near-nuclear fallout between the stars.
The 34-year-old reality star became embroiled in an on-going spat with Megan, 24, after allegations flew that Chloe’s friendship with Pete, 28, had developed into something more romantic.
Chloe denied there was anything more than platonic feelings between her and Pete, but that didn’t stop online trolls targeting her over the allegations.
And now Chloe says the subsequent abuse she has received online means she is banning scenes being filmed between her, Pete, and/or Megan – as she fears there could be implications for her 12-year-old daughter Madison.

"I've taken myself out of the situation with Megan and Pete and have stopped filming with them,” Chloe wrote in her weekly column for Star magazine.
“I'm getting trolled and abused online and I don't want kids in Maddie's school seeing what they're writing about her mum,” she explained.
"People are getting really personal about my looks and as a mother - and it's not just youngsters, believe it or not!” she said.
"I’ve now turned off the comments on Instagram so people can’t be cruel any more. It's mentally draining being abused every day," she said.
Chloe’s revelation comes hot on the heels of reports that Pete might quit Towie altogether following the stress of his breakup with Megan.
The reality star has told pals the very public breakup has caused strain on his relationship with fellow cast members – notably close pal Chloe Sims – forcing him to weigh up his future on the show.
His departure would be a huge blow to Towie bosses, having cemented his status as one on of the reality series’ most popular stars.
A pal said: “Pete is looking forward to this series coming to an end – it’s been a stressful few weeks and the situation with Megan is beginning to take its toll.
“He loves being a part of the show but hasn’t enjoyed watching his break-up play out in front of the nation – not to mention the constant arguments that followed and subsequent fall-outs with pals.
“Sometimes he’s wondered whether it’s all worth it and is currently at odds whether or not to return.
“But with a long break coming up, he hopes he’ll be able to take stock, repair those damaged relationships and return a happier, more positive man.”
Pete and Megan’s fiery relationship came to an end this month following a string of heated rows.
