Who’s on The One Show tonight? Orlando Bloom and Susan Calman join Matt Baker and Michelle Ackerley

The bumper hour-long episode will see the team entertained by aerial performers and learn how to click train a chicken

TONIGHT another set of Hollywood heavyweights will make their way to The One Show sofa with Orlando Bloom dropping by for a chat.

His appearance comes just a day after Alex Jones and Matt Baker were visited by Guardians of the Galaxy stars, Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell.

What's happening on The One Show tonight?

Tonight is a jam-packed episode of the teatime talk show as Orlando Bloom drops by for a chat about his new film, Unlocked.

Susan Calman will also be on the show talking about her new quiz show, The Boss.

Mike Dilger will be trying to 'click-train' a chicken, and things could get emotional as the first all-female round-the-world yacht crew will reunite with their boat, The Maiden, after 27 years.

The show will also be extended to a double run, lasting an hour instead of the normal thirty minutes.

Let's hope they can fit everything in!

Even more entertainment will be provided by the Flying Frenchies - an aerial performance troupe who will be suspended outside the studio grounds.

The group will be performing death defying stunts on a high-wire strung up over London in order to promote their new movie, The Free Man, which is available on DVD and digital download.

Who’s presenting tonight?

On tonight's episode, Matt Baker and Michelle Ackerley take on the sofa duties.

Michelle grew up in Manchester and has a degree in Psychology and she joined the BBC as a programme maker in 2005.

She has worked across a wealth of shows within Entertainment, Children’s and Current Affairs.

Can I be in The One Show audience?

Unfortunately, the One Show is not listed among the BBC shows you can apply for tickets for.

What time is The One Show on?

You can turn on to BBC1 at 7pm on weeknights to watch the show.

Each night the presenters mix interviews with an array of celebrity guests with an eclectic mix of topics ranging from current affairs to pop culture.

It is then available on demand on the BBC iPlayer.

How long has The One Show been running?

The magazine style show has been running for over a decade. The first episode was aired on August 14 2006.

From 2007 to 2010 it was hosted by Adrian Childs and Christine Bleakley, before Alex Jones and Jason Manford took the helm.

Chris Evans oversaw the Friday night hour-long episodes from 2010 to 2015.

The likes of Dermot O’Leary, Phil Tufnell, Zoe Ball and Fearne Cotton are among the guest presenters who have stood in for the regular duos.
