Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger buys London black cab before models are replaced by electric cars
Other stars to own a black cab include Kate Moss, Stephen Fry and Noel Edmunds
ARNOLD Schwarzenegger will be back in British style – after he bought himself a London black cab.
The Terminator star, 69, has invested thousands of pounds purchasing the iconic motor and arranging for it to be shipped out to California.
And he is expecting it to be delivered in two weeks.
Arnie’s taxi, made by the Coventry-based London Taxi Company, is one of the last diesel models made before they are replaced by electric cars.
And a source said: “Arnie loves the idea of having his very own black cab, and the fact that it is one of the last ever to be made heightens the appeal.
“He can’t wait to have it delivered so he can hit the streets around his home. Arnie driving a London cab around California will definitely draw attention.
“And anyone who tries to flag him down will get a real surprise.”
Hollywood actor-turned-politician Arnie is the latest in a line of A-list stars to own a black cab.
Supermodel Kate Moss was given a £35,000 taxi by her pals as a 34th birthday gift, and has been spotted driving it around London.
Comic Stephen Fry has joked about using his black cab to dodge traffic fines in the past.
Prince Phillip is also said to have his own black cab.
And other famous owners include Noel Edmonds, Happy Mondays star Bez and Most Haunted presenter Yvette Fielding.
