LINE of Duty fans fear Supt.Ted Hastings could be the most corrupt cop of all after the series four finale.
Millions tuned in on Sunday to find out who Balaclava Man was, but it turned out there was more than one masked man and in fact 'he' was a series of anonymous pawns carrying out the bidding of a still unknown gangland overlord.

But after series villainess DCI Roz Huntley finally confessed to killing forensics expert Tim Ifield and lawyer James Lakewell and Assistant Chief Constable Derek Hilton were revealed to be involved in the corruption, the series teased what could happen in series five.
Viewers were left wondering if AC-12 boss Hastings turns evil in the next series after he told staff to remove him as a corruption suspect.
He insisted the H mentioned by Matthew 'Dot' Cottan in his dying moments at the end of series three was obviously referring to Hilton, but some viewers wondered if he was a little too eager to turn the attention away from himself.

One wrote: "anyone else feel something still not right with Hastings" while another added: "There is still something off about Hastings. I refuse to believe that's it..."
But a third said: "If at the end of all of this Ted Hastings turns out to be bent I'm gunna need counselling."

However some felt the final scenes gave a big clue to the final outcome of the show, with one writing: "Yeah, we all noticed the heavy Hastings foreshadowing at the end of #LineofDuty there. You're not a genius."

The finale also saw anti-corruption boss Hastings shoot one masked man dead in a tense scene within the police station, picking up a weapon after a police marksman was gunned down.
Hilton was later found dead in an apparent suicide which eagle-eyed fans will know was the same spot as social worker Oliver Stephens-Lloyd died in the last series.
