Emmerdale spoilers: Marriage split on the cards for Victoria and Adam Barton as secret tryst with Vanessa is exposed

A DRAMATIC split could be on the cards for Adam Barton and Victoria Sugden as the truth about his illicit kiss with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield comes out.

Adam's feeling tetchy after admitting his criminal record at an adoption open day - possibly scuppering his chances of becoming a dad.

He ends up aggressively snapping at Vanessa, much to the alarm of Moira Dingle who takes it upon herself to find out what's going on.

But Moira is less than impressed when Adam reveals he shared a moment of passion with his ex, and furiously tells him he must either put Vanessa behind him or tell Victoria what happened.

As he's weighing up his options, Adam is gutted to realise he's lost his dad's watch.

He argues with Emma Barton after she says losing the watch must be karma - but he might regret the spat later, and not just because Ross ends up punching Adam to defend his mum.

Emma overhears Moira mentioning the kiss to Vanessa and suddenly finds she has the ability to ruin things for Adam.

But will she use the new piece of knowledge against him, and destroy his relationship with Victoria? Or will Moira Dingle blab Adam's secret?

One thing's for sure - now that news of Adam's cheating is out, it won't be long before matters come to a head as Victoria is sure to find out about the illicit kiss in the coming weeks.

Adam’s relationship with Victoria has been under serious strain ever since their fertility test results went badly.

Adam decided to seek comfort with Vanessa, drinking and playing video games in an effort to feel better.

With his marriage crumbling, he ended up making a move and leaning in for a kiss with his ex.

But when Adam and Victoria seemed to be getting back on track and adopting a baby together, this drama could not come at a worse time for the couple.
