Coronation Street spoilers: Will Shona Ramsey confess to David Platt as he celebrates attack on killer Clayton?
David and Shona have become closer and it's possible they could link romantically - but her killer secret could risk it all
DAVID Platt could be in for a rude awakening on Coronation Street if Shona Ramsey reveals who she really is.
David and Shona have become closer in recent weeks but it could all be scuppered if she lets him know that she is the mother of his wife Kylie's murderer.
In coming scenes, David and Shona will learn that Kylie Platt's killer Clayton Hibbs has been attacked in prison, and is in hospital.
Shona overhears Faye Windass telling Pat Phelan about the attack and despite her fraught relationship with her son she hurries out to find out more.
But David's reaction is very different when he hears Clayton might not survive, and he heads out to celebrate.
After a long afternoon at the Rovers Return David is more than a little worse for wear.
Shona finds him sat on the cobbles where Kylie died - celebrating Clayton's bad luck in prison hasn't helped him grieve his late wife.
It's tempting for Shona to reveal who she is as she's been thinking about it for weeks, and after such a long and emotional day she could use someone to vent to.
However Shona and David's mum Gail Platt previously agreed that they would keep the secret from David together, as it would turn his world upside down if he learned the truth about his new friend - so for now she should be set to keep her secret.

In the coming weeks Shona and David are set to build a friendship that could turn into romance. There's no doubt that would be very complicated given her connection to Kylie's vicious killer.
Julia Goulding, who plays Shona, recently told Lorraine: "I think the relationship probably will develop, in which way we don’t yet know, but can you imagine how complicated that will be. Secrets don't keep secrets for long."
