Megan McKenna opens up about hell of online bullying since joining Towie

The 24-year-old has been subjected to online abuse since she joined Towie and admits she’s fearful about what people will say about her

MEGAN McKenna has spoken candidly about the abuse she receives from online trolls and admitted people forget the Towie cast are ‘normal people with feelings’.

In a frank interview with , Megan even admitted to feeling nervous after filming scenes for the hit ITVBE show because she worries how people will react to her.

Megan said: “You have to be very strong to be on reality TV because some of the comments online are so hurtful.

“People forget that we’re normal people with feelings.’

“I often go home from filming and worry about how the audience will react to the things I’ve said.”

Her interview comes just days after The Sun Online revealed she had reconciled her relationship with Pete Wicks.

An insider said: “Megan and Pete still love each other despite everything and they want their time off from Towie to be about them and try to rekindle what they had.”

After their break up in March, Megan was trolled relentlessly by anonymous online bullies.

She hit back at their mean comments however and asked her Twitter followers: “Why do people on Instagram think it’s OK to cyber bully me because I’m in the public eye?”

Megan received hundreds of messages of support from her fans – many who thanked her for taking a stand against the trolls.
