Ferne McCann loses chance of TV job offer over link to acid attack suspect and ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins
FERNE McCann may have missed out on a lucrative new TV job offer because of her connection to acid attack suspect and ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins.
The reality star, 26, was one of the people being considered for a brand new telly project - but bosses have quietly dropped her after the ordeal.
A senior TV source said: "She was in serious consideration for a new project but its been dropped now. The general bad publicity about the case has meant it just wasn't the right time."
Ferne has kept a low-profile after the attack but is expected to appear on This Morning tomorrow to discuss the ordeal for the first time.
The 26-year-old will discuss her pregnancy and how she is preparing for life as a single mum.
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed Ferne – who worked on the ITV daytime show as a showbiz reporter – would be making her return to the programme.
It will be the first time Ferne has spoken about her pregnancy since the news came to light.
The former Towie star has been lying low since Collins was arrested over a horrific acid attack in a London nightclub.
Ferne discovered she was expecting just days before Collins, 24, was accused of being involved in the attack at a Dalston nightclub which left 20 injured and two people blind in one eye.
Collins went on the run following the attack in the early hours of Easter Monday.
After a police appeal and manhunt Collins was finally apprehended six days after the incident in Rushden, Northants.
He firmly denies any wrongdoing.
